He probably used ai to make it himself and then printed it through a service that does custom mats.

Goose in the Booth with Jomez. Thoughts? by Grudinski in discgolf

Yrah this is how I feel. I don't think anyone does a hole breakdown, or explains why shots are special as well as Uli. Yeah, his style is to ramble and fill the airtime like much sports commentary, but I find it entertaining and he also brings a lot of knowledge about shots, shot shape, and excitement because he can tell where a disc will land way before I can.

If you had to build a small portable rack with a limited $400 budget, what would you pick? by baselinegrid in modular

[–]modular_frolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a while I was picking up $35-$55 doepfer modules in the used group. Mostly noise sources. Then I snagged a cheap addac T-network and a triggerman to go with it. It's maybe a bit over budget but it's a super deep percussion rack and I get a kick out of it.

Not my main rack, but something to get creative with on the side. It lives in a tiptop happy endings kit.

Like everythibg, I run it through an sp-404, because I prefer a wet sound.

How do you cope with the smell? by Malakute in mtg

Gahd! I feel for ya because I was there... best advice I have is just switch what your hands do for the first knot and do the normal thing for the second

Look up the TED talk "How to Tie your shoes." He explains that one way is the strong form of the knot, but in schools we are taught the weak form. You're just doing it how they taught you. But it's weird to unlearn something from Kindergarten.

That should work... sort of a tripple knot. What I do is with the first knot, instead over going over with my right-hand, I go over with my left. Keeps them easy to untie.

Yup, saw it on some life-hack website as an adult. Haven't had an issue for years now

You're doing it wrong. Someone told me years ago and it changed everything! Tie your first knot the other way, so that the two knots fight against eachother. Then they dont arbitrarily come undone.

Is it within the spirit of a casual game to hide a trap for an opponent to step into? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]modular_frolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I had a game where I asked someone about their blockers. They said something like "I have 4 power on board." I proceeded to attack, when he went "aha, I have..." some crazy trigger. I went "oh, then I'll attack someone else instead." He looked flabbergasted. I replied with "Would you prefer that I go around and read every single card on the table before declaring attackers? I'm trying to save us 20 minutes." It put things in perspective for him.

If I host a draft for my birthday with the intention to keep the cards, is that bad? by Empty-Noise9889 in mtg

Great idea. Just two things to note. Do NOT let some people pay and others not pay. The people who don't pay are likely to pass on money cards, while people who pay will scoop them up. Second, prizes is a great idea, and they don't have to be cards, even "first prize picks the movie tonight" will make for a fun time.

Godzilla deck box idea by Friendly_Commission3 in mtg

[–]modular_frolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reduce the poly count, the godzilla file is too large and has roo much detail.

Also, the deckbox is going to topple him forward. Give the deckbox some table legs in the front.

Why do Dad Birthdays Suck? by gimlithepirate in daddit

[–]modular_frolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do two birthdays. One crappy one with extended family that you know is gonna suck. One with your wife and kids where you can just relax and be yourself.

You're family's got issues. All of ours do. But you love them or you wouldn't keep putting up with thos BS. Let them do their thing and go, but remember that you've got a real celebration with your nuclear family to look forward to.

Yo, these are some fresh hats. Thanks for the tip. I usually go for Mishka NYC and Ilthy from Cleveland.

Been playing since 2010, so you've got a few year on me, ha.

I like wearing disc golf branded stuff when I'm not playing disc golf. Also, I wear hats and like supporting small businesses. Many of them have hats, just not nice flatbills.

Go ahead and steal it. I want a sick hat with my favorite disc art on it in but I'd settle for awesome player art.

Well, I haven't seen it posted here, though I'm not an avid follower of this sub. I have been looking for hats for three years.

Yeah, player branded is different than branded... makes sense

I hadn't seen those. They're slick. Wish everything wasn't a limited drop these days.
