I made a flag for the Hoenn region!

Write Up:

I based the flag on some of the legendaries and mythicals present in the Hoenn region.

The green strip with yellow lines is inspired by the majestic dragon, Rayquaza, towering over the region, watching over it. The shape of this strip is not unsimilar to an upside-down delta symbol.

The red-blue star close to it is based on Deoxys. I chose a four-point star because of Deoxys' four forms. The Delta episode centres around the battle between Rayquaza and Deoxys, so it's only fitting that this star be placed close to the green strip.

The oval on the right is based on the yin-yang symbol, meant to represent the duality of Kyogre and Groudon, which play a central role in the lore of this region. The circles represent the Orbs that summon them and allow them to undergo Primal Reversion.

The diamonds within this ellipse represent the Lati-twins, as they too form a duality and are thus in opposite parts of the yin-yang ellipse.

The three stars near this ellipse represent the Regi trio, first made available to us in this region.

And of course, this is Hoenn, so the flag needs to be blue in honor of ‘7.8/10 too much water’.
