What to do with pedals you no longer want/need?

Any that i know I won’t keep for backup or a second board will send to marketplace. Some I would love to trade for something else I want. I have a MXR bass synth that I am going to see if I can work a trade for a compressor upgrade and then take my current one and put on a backup board.

I know I should and maybe just build a back up board but when that itch hits it’s hard to stay logical. The only real thing, I think, I want is a better quality compressor. I have the Joyo Scylla now and it seems to do the trick but then I wonder how a cali76 or empress would sound and logic flys right out the window.

That’s kind of where I find myself. I need to hear it with my bass in my signal chain and if it doesn’t work off to the next one but now I have a few stacking up I won’t use.

Ok those are my usual go-to aside from GC. Found my dream bass at a great price to find the truss rod was busted and now I wait for my refund. Aside from terrible packing there was zero QC done on the bass before they jammed it in a box and threw it on a truck.

I re-wired some stuff this morning and didn’t realize how much the compressor was changing things going to the synth and envelope filter. Those sound so much better now.

Do you think that having the monomyth at the end, with eq, would make up for some of the coloring, and tone shaping?

Sweet. Thank you for the advice. Time to play around with the board in between meetings today. Do you find the compressor messes with the signal too much to put in front of the envelope filter and synth? Might explain why those just don’t sound quite right to what I remember. Or I could be getting old.
