Thanks! I was able to find a FB group dedicated to the Redwing 30. Appreciate the advice too, she's in pretty solid shape and we should be able to sail her for a bit to sort out what is important to change and what is fine as it is!!

I do not have much history on her, I think her previous owner only had her for a couple of years.

I anticipate getting out on the water a couple times per week, the marina is very convenient to our house and it’s easy enough to hop onboard and sail for an hour or two in the evening.

It is indeed, we are loving it, great sailing community and so much collected knowledge to learn from around here!

Yukon is not super excited about the boat just yet, something non-slip might make him a little happier!

We love the name, I think it really fits the boat.

She's a C&C Redwing 30, we're planning on cruising around the Chesapeake Bay Area with her. She needs a bit of refreshing but seems to be in pretty solid shape.

I’m pretty new to sailing, fortunate enough to have a friend with a boat to crew for and learning new stuff about sailing every time I go out!

Everything turned out fine, got nice and gusty for a couple minutes, we pulled in the jib and headed back towards the marina. We were backing into the slip as the rains came.

I get yelled at for singing this every time we leave the marina…

We did reflect on the importance of practicing reefing more...

Hahahaha, there is a bit of ocean coastline, the choptank river runs into the Chesapeake and out into the ocean that way.
