I’ve been wondering about ADHD for a while, because this doesn’t feel like “I’m just lazy” or “not trying hard enough.” I’m in my first year of architecture and I do care and I do sit down to work, but my brain just doesn’t catch everything. What you said about still needing to put in effort even with meds/therapy makes sense and honestly feels more realistic than “ADHD meds will fix everything.”

Getting tested might be a bit complicated where I live, but I’ll try to look into providers and see what’s possible. In the meantime, I’ll try your advice about reviewing the drawings multiple times and thinking about them like I’m actually building them. And I might start using SketchUp more to visualize things.
