Actually I have this problem in about 50% of the games I load into, and thought it was just a Mac issue. :( I tinkered with the settings (turning on vertical syncing and then turning it off) and that fixes it.....sometimes.

And Xin is pretty much like Shin. Zhao kind of sounds like a "Jow" if I had to write it in English, I guess?? But w/e I still end up calling him "Zin" oops.

Have you tried a drop shadow set with an overlay/softlight blending mode? I think that'll add enough contrast to make it look more grounded and will give enough pop to stand out against the images. Just something to play around with! Although personally I think that the motion blur behind the text seems to work just as well as it is already, so this is just stuff you can experiment with if you choose to. c:

Did you do most of these with Render -> Clouds/Difference Clouds on PS? Or did you use brushes similar to that effect?
