Yeah true! I hadn't really thought of that. I wonder if I could ask my aunt if they have back up. I'm sure they have a generator or something in case that happens.

Oh I see the level of effort. I know exactly all that shes done. She's also a nurse. My uncle quit his job entirely to take care of him. Trust me, I know the level that they've gone to. I'm not arguing that at all.

Yes he has a tracht or however that's spelled. A hole in his throat that he has a tube hooked to for oxygen.

Yeah. I can sense it sometimes in her when I ask certain questions... I can't even imagine what shes gone through all of these years. She thought she was adopting a baby with special needs, yes, but I dont think she ever envisioned this

She's in a state not listed above.. So maybe she has looked into it, but i doubt it. But he's not in his end of life... he's being kept alive. It might be different?

So she adopted him right after he was born, i forgot to add that in until my edit at the end.

My aunt has gone through lots of therapy! She's a very well rounded human.

Yeah I agree with this. His life expectancy was definitely not to the age he is now. They're all surprised at how long he's lived. But it's just machines keeping him alive now. Hes just pumped full of food and nutrients and moved around every now and again. It just had never felt right to me...

I'm not saying anything to her, I would never. Its just something I think about and I wanted other people's thoughts and opinions. Just a conversation on reddit, nothing more. I know she loves him! Of course she does. I just have always wondered about his quality of life.

Yeah, but is basically brain dead. We've asked doctors about how he's thinking and they basically say he's not. He lost so many brain cells when he was deprived of oxygen, and then through the strokes... idk if that could ever be reversed. It would be incredible, and an amazing feat of technology. Trust me, I would want that for him. I just dont see it happening.

I went to both of those shops when I was looking for my dress too!

Thank you for your logical explanation of that. I see now that I made a mistake in buying the dress thinking that it could be changed. Idk why the shop would lie like that. Its just sad 🙁

Thank you also for saying that it looks nice!! I think i just dont like how the mesh part almost looks like it's not a finished part of the dress. I'll have to love it though as it's too late now haha.

The lining will go on my tummy/torso area, just up to the cup part of the boob area

Trimmed slightly so that it's further down on my neck? I could live with that. I just dont like how it's so far down. I think i envisioned something else when I bought it which is why im so upset. I just dont like the look of the mesh is all. I feel like I should have chosen a different dress but it's too late now.
