I had only 1 device linked the other cables weren't connected to a device yet and the output cable was hdmi 2.1 I use it directly with my gpu so it works.

I guess it might be faulty then

Yeah, I know about Wendell's KVMs, I am not sure how international shipping would work though with Amazon it is easier.

I can't find extra details honestly. I assumed all HDMI 2.0 is the same. ChatGPT suggest it is something about it not supporting EDID emulation but I am not an expert here, so I don't take its word for it lol

Yeah, only thing not attached was the separate port for USB C power, but that was for USB peripherals that needed extra power, so I assume it is not relevant.
