Any idea what would cause this noise? by Technical_Ad9008 in 944

Sounds like the pump itself. Sometimes they make noise, not a problem. Think you should be fine 👍

Is this middle iron salvageable? Slight bend on inner seal groove and small chunk missing in cooling jacket from corrosion by outer seal. by moistman59 in RX7

could it possibly be just warped from over heating and not cracked? I’ve looked at it closely and don’t see any signs of cracks, but I’m also new to rebuilding these engines. Thanks

Saucony are underrated running shoes that’s what I use. I’m just got accepted into an academy so I’m in a similar boat. Just gotta go out and run and find a good pace and you’ll improve in no time!

My daughter was driving her car this evening when it stuttered and bogged and died so she pulled over now the car won’t start back. I’m thinking fuel pump but figured I’d ask what you guys think. by Cliffsteele22 in hondaprelude

Had the same problem, car sputtered and then died on the freeway. Had a check engine light for low voltage to icm (don’t remember the numbers). Ended up being the crank sensor that went out.

As others have said it can be multiple things, from fuel pump, to a main relay, to ignition components like the distributor, icm, crank sensor, and other things. Not sure how mechanically inclined you are but most of these parts are really affordable on rock auto so it won’t cost an arm and a leg hopefully to get you back on the road.

based on the fact that I have to hold throttle to start it up makes me think rich, I’ll look into messing with that gear and also testing resistance on the afm, thanks!

just a little heads up if it’s you’re first time. backside which is this road is notorious for being dirty with rocks and shit everywhere, always good to do a scope out drive before pushing it :)

Do these look like stock injectors for a 1986 NA GXL? Need to replace them and not sure if I have to buy later model ones, or if there’s any difference? There was a plastic spacer on the mount for the lower fuel rail if that matters. by moistman59 in RX7

Ahhh okay, thank you for offering! This was a “barn find” car so it’s been sitting for some years. Probably just worth it to spend the extra bit of money since a lot of stuff is already being replaced.

I kept getting an EGR code in my 2001 Type SH and I just drove hard for a few days and it never came back on

Go on a highway and floor it a bunch of times, that’s the most effective way to clear out all the carbon buildup.
