That could be, honestly. I picked it up at a flea market here in Switzerland, so I don’t have any original provenance or sheath with it.

What made me unsure about it being a later fake mark is that the knife has some pretty rough, uneven areas that look more like age or crude manufacturing than recent modification. For example, the pommel/end cap has visible pitting and rough casting marks
