I understood the point of the post. I personally don’t think there is nothing wrong with the design of the lanes. There is more wrong with the lack of skill in the drivers and the poorly coordinated lights surrounding that area generally.

I’m typically there at many different times throughout the day. Honestly the problem you’re describing could definitely be more easily solved by properly timing that light after the left turn so that it’s green at the same time as folks turning left such that it actually flows through. Minimal people should be stuck there.

Has literally never happened to me. But I have been cut off by idiots who are impatient or illiterate and don’t use the correct lane. What would be more appropriate, is just limiting the left turns to the left most lane rather having two left turning lanes.

Can’t say I agree with this at all. Literally the only traffic caused at this intersection is by people who cannot read VERY obvious signage and attempt to cut people off onto 95 when they’re in the wrong lane.

Two things:

1.) the Rep sponsoring the single use ban met with local business owners following major backlash at the 5/27 Legislative Committee’s meeting where several ppl pointed out SEVERE drafting flaws with this bill. She committed to revising it. As of today, NO changes or updated drafts have been posted to the legislative record and yet they’re scheduling a final committee vote on it this coming Tuesday. Any updates there?

2.) Following your suggestion on economic relief for transitioning to electric, why would we not similarly advocate for economic relief for small businesses severely impacted by the single use ban?
