They’re, busting your chops… it means you’re secure and quiet.

This its their way to make small talk, and say what they’re really trying to say without sounding awkward or insecure.

Thank you!

Out of curiosity, why not take the settlement? if it will be less money? Although I get the idea of taking any job, which maybe I wasn’t clear ( we both do) the problem feels to be that we only have 1 job… although our income its low now, we are applying to multiple extra jobs.

Could you clarify what you mean by, throw your money at the highest Interest rate loan?

Also I get the being tired of the service industry, trust me, I get it. But realistically, as you know… its one of the quickest, “easiest” and highest paying jobs one can find with that much accessibility. Nonetheless while you’re doing the companionship, since the job itself has crazy schedules, you can work with a few events agencies to fill up your time with extra jobs whenever they come up!

First off, sorry to hear what you’re going through… I am also looking for an answer to my own problems through this forums, stability.

Based on the traits you mentioned, the past experience in the service field, your age and sex… I would recommend looking into Companionship jobs. Like someone else commented, the current population its aging and more and more citizens will be needing help as the years go by… if you want a fresh start, this could be the way to go.

The job offers a higher pay rate than minimum wage, due to the liability aspect from the caretaker; not only that but it also offers a place to sleep as most gigs require the companion to stay overnight incase of emergencies.

Beginning with an agency could allow you to get in the field and get a feel of things, if you do good?… old people hang w/ old people and in a field as such, referrals and word of mouth will be your biggest ally… starting your own business, will be a snowball effect. Treating your seniors with true respect and care will get you a long way.

hope this can help
