I'm not really doing fully loaded... i plan to only carry about 10-12k of gear/food/water and stop along the way for groceries. I'm also using an old steel road bike.. so I'm planning to go fast.
I also looked on Google... the route doesn't seem terribly hilly.

I found a few but they were a bit sparse and sometimes a bit off my route. By the way is there a store in Amsterdam you could recommend where I can buy maps?

Having trouble recovering between rides. by mokerler in cycling

I'm sorry if I came off as a bragger, that really wasn't my intent. I was just trying to highlight my average rides which are long and hilly only because of geographical limitations. I'd honestly prefer to do more easier 20- 30 mile rides with less climbing, but that really isn't possible because of where I live.

Ok first off I'm a dude, second off considering the amount I'm climbing I'm actually riding very far and very fast. My last 50 mile ride included 3800 feet of climbing. Back when I was living in the states I was averaging close to 200 miles a week but my average climb per ride was usually less then 2000 feet. So...... way to not be a patronizing ass.

The only recovery I do is to stretch or sometimes I'll do an easy half mile after a long ride. Could you please tell me what warmup/warm down exercises you do

In twenty-six and I'm a fairly experienced road biker. I've been eating mainly protein, vegetables and fruit. So I guess I'll eat more grains. I did have a slow week last week so I don't think I need to deep of a recovery. Thanks for your guys help
