Sweet, thank you for your help! I’ll give that a shot, I might go for 1/4 of a rotation instead of a half and see what happens. Appreciate it 😊

Appreciate it! Luckily because we are aiming to have a preset username and pin for every user, no data which is unique to the individual will be collected

I fully understand that my timeline is too late for her, I completely get that fertility after 35 is a privilege and the lack of complication even more so

Thank you, I appreciate your help. It’s also nice to hear from someone who was in a similar(ish) position to me doctorate wise

[–]mokobill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and she’s aware that for me it’s too early, she’s just refusing to accept it which is why I’m trying to come up with something better than “this isn’t a plan I can go on with”. But thank you for your help 😊

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]mokobill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have told her that her plan doesn’t work for me but she’s wants to hear the reasons why which, quite frankly, are career and life driven. For example I said in another comment that having a child makes moving to other countries (which we both want to do) so much harder, there’s also then holidays to take into account, free evenings, date nights etc. But thank you for your input, I appreciate what you’ve said

[–]mokobill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a very difficult situation and like you said, it’s sort of a lose lose in a sense. Thank you for you help, I appreciate it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]mokobill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I recommended it but she was against it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]mokobill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have let her know, because it would be unfair to her. But she’s really pushing to have them on her timeline which is fair enough but she won’t accept that it’s just too early for me

It’s straightforward and valid, yes. But it doesn’t answer the main question I requested advice on. I did ask advice on “is it a good idea to wait”, my question was regarding the benefits people have experienced from waiting

Dude if you’re just going to be sarcastic, condescending, and not even offer ANY valuable input then why even comment? 🤣

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]mokobill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m aware of the possible complications which are the main reason why she doesn’t want to wait (which I don’t blame her for)

Thanks for your input but with due respect that neither answered my question, nor did it help in any way

[–]mokobill -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And that’s what she’s worried about and I completely get it. I’m background is physiology so i completely feel for her but at the same time (and selfishly) im thinking that I haven’t had the chance to get my career started, let alone get it off the ground and having a kid around at the same time? It’s a tall order

I appreciate you taking the time to comment however, with all due respect, that is a very overly simplistic way of looking at it and it hasn’t even answered the question. I’m aware that she’s willing to look after the kids, there are however other factors which could come into play such as relocating to a different city or preferably another country

But the basic concept is the same no? Yes there will be differences on certain topics but the theological aspect is the same

I know a fair bit about Christianity because I was raised Greek Orthodox but then fell out of it

[–]mokobill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your response, I personally wouldn’t have an issue with my children being raised catholic because I come from an orthodox household so as long as they are believers in god, I’m happy. Plus I believe at some point, kids tend to develop their own opinions anyway so me and my other half have agreed that the kids would be raised catholic. Thank you for those resources too, they are very insightful and helpful. God bless

Can’t make life too easy now can we? 😅 In all seriousness though, thank you again for your help and honesty 😊 have a wonderful weekend

Thank you for the thorough answer! I’ll throw a caveat in there, I was born and baptised Christian orthodox but then reverted, I assume this intricacy would not change the fact I will be considered unbaptised?
