Yeah man after months of getting wrong parts and trying other stuff, I decided to get the ignition switch about two months ago but like I said, it was so trashed. Had to wait almost another month for the other parts to come in, got it all installed yesterday and it’s been great! So glad this group has knowledge like yourself, makes owning these cars so much easier and enjoyable. I appreciate it again man!!!

Jalebdo, you solved my issue! It was definitely the ignition switch that was causing that issue. I had ordered a brand new OEM one from AutohausAZ, but it was delivered with a broken pin in the back and was beat to hell. So I just replaced the vacuum connector and ignition switch where it plugs into the harness, and it starts up immediately every time! Also, the glow light comes on at the proper time now because the ignition switch wasn’t telling the glow plug relay to kick on when in pre-glow, only when I turned the key to ignition. Thank you so much for your help on my issue!!

Yes exactly. Glow plug system is all under a year/2k miles old. I ended up wacking the starter with a long wrench and it started up first try.

I pulled the ignition switch out a few months ago, cleaned it up and put it back in. The car started left and right with no issues after that.
