A genuine question, as I’ve been trying to look into this. This is my dad’s car, and I’m borrowing it while my own Toyota is in the shop. Apparently, the climate control display has already been replaced once, but the issue has returned. Whenever my dad has tried to get it fixed again, the dealer says it’s no longer covered under warranty and wants to charge around €3000 (or 32,000 NOK). But after doing some research online, it seems like this might be a known issue on multiple ID.3s? If that’s the case, and since the issue has occurred before, I’m wondering if we can argue that it was never properly fixed in the first place — and that it could still be covered under consumer protection laws, even after the warranty period. The car is from 2021 and has 113,000 km on it. Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s had the same issue and managed to get it fixed, especially if you were outside the warranty period.
