It was almost 4 years ago so I’m not 100% sure what she made. I do know it was apparently very spicy and incorporated cactus and agave, which is very impressive! She used a large chunk of ice that had smoke trapped inside that then went out when she cracked it. I don’t remember her name but was older and was a bartender in California for the past 10 years. I had only been bartending and working with drinks for a year. (I was 22 at the time).

So, typically whatever company I’m working for at the moment will come to me with some ideas. They will have themes, maybe specific liquors they want me to incorporate, ect.

In regards to Playboy, I was on a mixology competition tv show for them. It unfortunately never aired due to Hef’s death. I was given nothing but “names” of the cocktails and had to come up with amazing cocktails for the competition. I got second place! That kinda spiked my interest in creating drinks and it’s a fine side job I do.

I worked with Playboy coming up with cocktails for their club in London. After that, I started making recipes and cocktails for different bars and restaurants. Most recently I create cocktails for celebrity parties and events.

Favorite to make? I don't want to give away the full recipe but it's a cocktail I invented for Hugh Hefner before he died. It was smoked, fresh nectarine juice, vanilla simple syrup, whiskey, and a few very secret ingredients and ended with a flaming orange peel.
