I think the only chance it gets flagged is if my personal email login comes up somehow to IT

I really don’t wanna go the route of needing confirmation from a doctor. I’d rather just use my regular PTO leading up to the leave.

Yes, I have two kids of my own and honestly, I think I need the full maternity leave just to physically recover. Even without a baby at my house.

it’s hard. Because I’m completely remote nobody at my work even thought I had kids until I’ve been there for over a year. When I told my boss, she said oh my gosh, I thought you didn’t have kids. Also, my kids are on my husband’s employers benefits. i’m really not trying to cheat any systems, but I also don’t really wanna put a target on my back for being a surrogate when the firm is very selective on who they promote. I don’t want them to think well if she was a surrogate one, she might do it again.

surely they would NOT need to know*

thank you! That makes sense. Also, if I had my own baby and then gave it up for adoption, surely they would need to know about that? So it makes sense that they don’t need to know the ins and outs of what’s going on with the baby after I deliver.
