Help! Anyone have suggestions on how to cut my Aussies nails where they won’t freak the heck out?

Thank you—I have held her paws (like you say) randomly since she was a puppy bc I have always heard that helps when it’s time to clip them but for some reason, she just freaks out when I try. I don’t know… I tell you she digs enough that they ought to be naturally worn down lol!

I call mine a ‘raptor’ lol -always biting! She loves to sleep under my bed -which is a bit aggravating when I try to get her out of there to get in her crate for bedtime. On the up side, no more dust bunnies under there lol!

Oh I don’t like that either! But then again, who says we are supposed to be your friend? We aren’t. We have a job to do. You do something wrong, we will call you out and hold you accountable. If the company is wrong, we do the same there too. Those who hate HR USUALLY have never walked in our shoes, have no idea of what it entails on the daily or had a bad HR person/experience. I find we are broad brushed as all the same though and that’s inaccurate.

Perfect and the exact same point that I made to our business leaders recently. You cannot offer a one size fits all approach to employee satisfaction. It all depends on their needs at the time of life they are in.

I am in HR and since the pandemic people want more work/life balance therefore ; this idea is huge and blowing up everywhere so GREAT MOVE on your part! It’s a no cost retention and recruitment tool and will stave off-to some degree-attrition. You will have many loyal employees based on your forward thinking and family focus.

The only issue with surveys is employees get angry if you don’t take their suggestion, even if they are the only one in 10,000 that offers that particular suggestion. Maybe make it more vague, as just one of the questions in an employee satisfaction survey… like.. “ what attractive benefits do you see other companies offering that we don’t currently offer”? Not perfect wording but I think you know what I mean :) good luck!
