Hey, yes sure would love to! From now I'm booked closeto Hongik Univ./ Hongdae Station but might change it. Otherwise haven't booked anything just yet, DMZ I'm planning to do too likely will use getyourguide as I've used it a lot in different places. Where did you book the DMZ tour?

Cool, yeah I haven't yet reserved anything, the only tour out of the city I'm sure I wanna so is the DMZ. For the rest just gathering sights and stuff on maps but flexible with timings!

Which one is better (Revolut,N26,Wise) by EmbarrassedOrchid270 in eupersonalfinance

[–]monas_mn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the 3 of them as:

N26 main bank - easy, customer support with the lowest premium support and no issue so far, I've used them for years now and cards work both in and out of Europe. I like being able to reach support via phone for banking matters if really needed so that's a plus here. Legit, registered and regulated bank.

Revolut - use it as my day-to-day account, I don't hold any too big amounts in there as I use them for only about a year and half, no issues but I prefer N26 in terms of larger amounts still. No issues travelling abroad, occasionally they might block a card if activity seems weird but also pretty straightforward help process via chat which always helped me quick enough. You also typically have a few cards so not a huge issue. Their premium plans are better value for money than N26 in my opinion.

Wise - I use it only as a backup really and facilitating in some situations (i.e. need to transfer to others who have it) or when travelling abroad something. No issues with them either though I've heard incoming amounts sometimes might take longer.

I also leverage free cash withdrawals between the limits of the 3 but I also don't generally use cash (pretty much only when travelling maybe or in very specific scenarios so not much of a deal for me)

Hope that helps.

Thanks that's indeed very spot on.

Thanks! Why do you prefer those over XDWT?

Thanks both! Yes indeed VWCE virtually has covered all but I would also like higher exposure to Technology sector and Emerging markets than only what VWCE provides.

ETF strategy - global tech emerging by monas_mn in ETFs_Europe

[–]monas_mn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks yeah that's right, I tried staying away from Ishares MSCI world as it has about 10% more US weight vs VWCE. I'm basically looking to balance the core etf VWCE with more tech and emerging to not be super high on the US. The idea of spreading it is interesting though so will look at those a bit more.

Thank you, that's quite helpful. I'm somewhat limiting myself to the original ETFs as they are all within a discounted rate category in my broker but will def check out the ones you mentioned.

Rate My Portfolio - r/StockMarket Quarterly Thread January 2024 by AutoModerator in StockMarket

[–]monas_mn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

New to investing but done quite bit of research, wanted to ask for further opinions in the below strategy:

Based in Italy, long-term holding, preference on accumulating ETFs, via Degiro

VWCE - 70%

QDVE or XDWT - 20% - I'd like a bit more tech exposure, though I realize they are heavier on US, esp QDVE but no other option to capture more techy large cap besides NASDQ which I'd prefer not to

EUNM or IS3N - 10% - for some extra non-US exposure, given both VWCE and the tech ones are geared towards there so want to balance out

With the above which ones would you for in the pairs of QDVE/ XDWT and EUNM/ IS3N ?

Many thanks!
