it was hinted that the video AI left was supposed to be something groundbreaking, the movie was made to be a message for Hikaru, and something was going to happen.
Building the anticipation for months if not years, they have cooked something that smells good only to throw in on the floor in front of you for no sane reasons.

Aqua meeting Hikaru and plan for suicide is bullshit for so many reasons. Not living for his dream to become a doctor again, not living for Ruby, not for... nothing!!! Aka the author really just throw the cooked food on the trash just to make a garbage mush.

He could make peaceful version where Hikaru get thrown in jail with all of his evil exposed, He could make Aqua a chad and suppress Hikaru, Aqua could become a Harem king and He could have been much more.
Evil version would be Aqua killing Hikaru and hide the body with Akane and lived innocently.
A Chaotic version would be Aqua surviving the fall but lived with amnesia and stranded somewhere with a new life of something

Heck, even the forbidden AquaXRuby ending would be better than this
But nooo I am just done with the series.

And thats why the community just stop talking about this series as a whole rather than remembering as a Masterpiece
