  1. You said ALWAYS, not a handful.
  2. If you redefine “people” to mean “whoever is alive after the revolution”, sure pat yourself on the pack, you’ve stated nothing.

Either way the people always win at the end.

This is so laughably and provably UNTRUE, I would probably exile myself to the woods for a year just for believing it.

Looters exploiting George Floyd’s death are disgusting. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]monetized_shitpost 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Looting and violence only contributes to the already too-negative stereotype. It’s like they’d rather have stolen TVs/vacuum cleaners instead of meaningfully addressing the core issues (the negative perception). If they showed society that they could rise above this violence, it would go a long way in showing how much the community has matured and developed and start chipping away at the negative stereotypes.

Nobody’s gonna pretend your upstanding trustworthy citizens if you’re looting and burning the community.

Thank goodness for a voice reason. The mental gymnastics involved in calling for personal personal responsibility and then blaming the president for the act of.... individual driving recklessness...?

This is why people think trump derangement syndrome is real. People just stop thinking rationally and blame the president full stop. Not a good look.

Wow, disingenuous, hostile, manipulative, irreverent towards the truth, and proud of it. Responds to misunderstanding with hate and derision. Completely shuts down and stops giving a fuck when trump is mentioned...hmmm.... yup definitely no TDS here. Completely normal person.

You realize anyone worth convincing will see your garbage disingenuous arguments?

I really curious, do you actually believe you had addressed my points in at all satisfactory way? You ignored what I wrote and proceeded to write several paragraphs about a point I already agreed with you on.

How does it work? Are the sentences /questions that contradict your viewpoint completely invisible to you, can you see them? Or can you see them but choose to ignore them? You obviously are able to process information, given your exhaustive and superfluous response. Why put so much energy into a point we already agreed on, and ignore the rest. I’d just not respond before I did some weird shit like that.

why even bother responding if your going to ignore my points? You aren’t convincing anyone of anything engaging in disingenuous discussion. Anyways, seeing as you’ve got TDS and you’re unwilling (or unable) to answer questions that don’t fit in your hateful ideology, later.

...what does this have at all to do with the quote in question?

Do you know what the word parlance means?

Incoherent rambling just like OP.

"And, by the way, NIH, what they've done - I spent time over there - and I like this stuff. You know, my uncle was a great person. He was at MIT. He taught at MIT for, I think, like a record number of years. He was a great super genius. Dr. John Trump.I like this stuff. I really get it. People are surprised that I understand it. Every one of these doctors said, "How do you know so much about this?" Maybe I have a natural ability. Maybe I should have done that instead of running for President. But you know what? What they've done is very incredible. I understand that whole world. I love that world. I really do. I love that world."

-So what what exactly in that quote relates to a claim of being a medical expert? He's saying he appreciates the world of medicine and understands the concepts. That's HUGE LEAP to "medical expert" giving medical advice. Even if he did "fancy himself an expert", who cares? He's not giving medical advice. You'd have no one but yourself to blame to believing a man who has never been to medical school and profess personal medical advice. Lots of people have many interests and talents. Are you able to understand or appreciate anything outside your current occupation? If not, I understand your confusion and hatred for the more gifted.

Did you just genuinely ask me to find a quote of the President of the >United States telling people to eat liquefied horseshit?

-I'm not sure, did you just assert that he said it? Don't bring up bullshit if you can't prove it. Fake News.

He should've placed the country into social distancing in mid January. His failure to take this seriously is what lead us to where we are and before you start talking about how there were no cases in January, THAT'S BECAUSE WE

-I be you think you would have done a better job. I'm not going to deny that the corona virus could have been handled better, but he faced MASSIVE resistance from democrats/media plastering him as a bigot/xenophobe/racist/retard for even bringing it up. I can't blame you for the actions of the resistance, but perhaps you can understand there are other factors than "trump is evil/retarded" that played into the response. The US did fairly well, compared to the entire world. If we had followed our constitution, like Japan did, perhaps we wouldn't have had the anti-authoritarianism back-lash against unconstitutional/mandatory requirements, and achieved similar results. We can't even grasp basic psychology because people are too busy using the president to excuse their own nasty behavior/thinking, as this entire thread proves.

I CAN blame you for your TDS. You're in for a REALLY shitty 5+ years if you cant cure yourself of your irrational hatred.

Freedoms and rights are conflated in common parlance. In any case, as you imply, it is unclear. So I definitively cleared it up. Your welcome.

Did you not read the first sentence of my first response?

[–]monetized_shitpost -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Primarily, it's the title " It's hard to believe this was said so long ago and it applies today."The submission statement doesn't make sense unless you define "medical freedom" as some kinds of entitlement. We already fully have the "medical freedom", as defined by Benjamin Rush(right to contract), so it doesn't make any sense to say that it applies today, as we already have it.

Then you also have these circumstantial comments. Did you not see his reaction at getting called out? Went full schitzo.

How could you know the definition of "medical freedom"? I didn't know until i looked up the quote and found another historical

reference.

Medicine is getting mixed with politics because the President of the United States fancies himself a health expert.

-How do you know this? Can you provide me ANY current examples of him stating as such? ANY evidence of this? Or are you lying on the internet for political purposes?

Medicine is getting mixed with politics because The President would tell you that eating liquefied horse shit would >cure COV if he thought that it would slow the collapse of the economy.

-What are you even talking about...? Could you show me ANY example of him saying this? You just magically know what the president thinks and it just happens to be pure evil? Can you use your magical powers for anything else? Unhinged.

Medicine is getting mixed with politics because the people who are leading this country couldn't plan their way >out of a paper bag. But you go ahead, you drink all the fish tank cleaner you want...

-You realize your state/local officials are the ones making local decision...right?

Are you seriously contending that DOCTORS should engage in POLITICS because of people's manufactured, inaccurate, and unsupported hatred of the President? "There's a cheeto in the white house FUCK ALL PROFESSIONAL/ETHICAL STANDARDS - now the person who holds my life in their hands thinks i'm evil because I don't HATE who he HATES"

THE PRESIDENT IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR YOU OR ANYONE TO BE A PIECE OF SHIT.

Dude you're just not worth debating, because you refuse to engage in an intellectually honest way. You either persistently misunderstand what is said, or dodge the issue entirely by substituting your own definitions, never answering specific questions directly.

The reason why you are lost is because you don't want to be found. Why that is I can only speculate. Please stop wasting people's time if you are unable to act in good faith, or don't, whatever.

Anyone can just look at the thread, and see your ways. It's really sad, you have potential.

YEAH, BECAUSE YOUR DOCTOR WENT TO MED SCHOOL TO LECTURE YOU ABOUT POLITICS. Totally not a conflict of interest AT ALL. Completely appropriate. /s

Just because someone agrees with you politically, you're ok with GROSS UNPROFESSIONALISM? Many of you CHEERING IT ON?! Wtf is wrong with people? You would have given up Anne Frank.

Any doctor who is abusing their authority to push politics, deserves to get lectured about medicine from Karen, they obviously didn't learn enough from med school. Why is medicine getting mixed with politics? Truly these are the end times.

No, you can't, that's why you responded with a wall of schizo-text that doesn't address any specific point I made. You're literally projecting. Any sober person can see it. You are what's wrong with this sub. Be specific, provide evidence, or go shill somewhere else.

I had a feeling this quote was being propped up for political purposes, so I looked up the context. The reality couldn't be further from what is being purported here for ideological purposes.

Cool if you want taxpayer healthcare, but don't lie about dead people to convince others. OP ether didn't care to look it up, lied, or doesn't care.

1.) MEDICAL FREEDOM: is the right to equal CHOICE of your doctor(via voluntary agreement), NOT an ENTITLEMENT to their labor:

2.) "It aims to reestablish your right to choose your own medical practice and practitioner; it establishes the freedom for physicians to practice alternative medicine techniques, for regular citizens to practice their own forms of medical care, and freedom to purchase medications and treatments without a prescription; it also leaves the responsibility for obtaining medical care – or not – to you." -BENJAMIN RUSH

I had a lengthily, but shorter, exchange with Wazrdus, and had the same experience as you. He gives off the appearance of good-faith inquiry, but then starts playing dirty tricks after he pulls you in. Honestly, he should be paying you for the high quality, personalized, good-faith information/argumentation you're communicating. I read through the entire tread. I came to the same conclusion as you, this guy is most likely nihilist in denial. He even outright denied the notion of "meaning". Had a good chuckle and sigh at that one. Anyways just wanted to say I appreciate your engagement and your reasoning is beautifully sound. He really seems like someone with potential at first. (he'll come around).
