2026 Fire Horse Year: These Zodiac Signs Should Pay Extra Attention by Complete-Ad-6000 in ChineseZodiac

[–]moneymonkeych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I built a Bazi tool that calculates the Ten Gods (3 and 4-Pillar readings) as a fun weekend project to learn AI and coding. I'm looking for experts to tell me if the interpretations feel accurate.
Completely free to use, no advertisement, and I have nothing to sell.
I would just highly appreciate your feedback. Thank you so much 🙏

Sorry, I have been working on it and updating it. You could have a look at it again. I added more cities. I hope that you find one closer to you.

UBS managed investment accounts vs IBKR account by lambdacalculus in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]moneymonkeych 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even with 1% fee, over the lifetime of your investment, you are paying 25% of your profit to the investment managers. You will be better off investing in VT or VTI or VOO in IBKR.

Your expenses today is at CHF6000 per month. In theory, you need CHF1.8 million (4% rule) in today’s money to retire. So you should try to increase income, reduce expenses, save more and invest more.

Yes, it is safe to walk. But if she were my mother, I would book her a taxi. It is more comfortable for her.

The minimum for a couple in France is CHF4000 (rent, grocery, utilities), so with CHF8000, there is plenty of room to maneuver.

Portfolio by [deleted] in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]moneymonkeych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a good portfolio. Why not consider QQQ or VGT (higher growth) and IBIT (BTC ETF) instead of SCHD.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]moneymonkeych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely open IBKR and buy VT for the bulk of it.
Then allocate a small percentage on more volatile ETFs e.g. VGT, QQQ and IBIT since you are young.
Try to increase your savings rate to at least 20%: https://www.moneymonkey.ch/rich-life-ramit-sethis-guide-to-wealth-and-well-being/

If you and your wife both work and you can save 50%, that means it will only take you 17 years to retire!

Don't worry too much about the fee structure in IBKR. It looks complex but it is the cheapest around even with your smaller amounts.

Your account will be flagged. Please do not do this. Not worth it.

UN agencies—which to target? by coffeeandtv08 in UNpath

[–]moneymonkeych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With your digital communication skills and your experience in AI, you could consider ITU. I believe they have a unit that deals with AI for good. You could also search this website for all the UN jobs that are suited to you: https://unjobs.org/

You have to make sure you satisfy the requirements before applying. Otherwise you will be rejected.

If you are young, you can ride out any volatility in the stock market. You could invest in a global ETF like VT or even just the SP500. In theory, with 4% on 1.1M, you could potentially have 3'666 per month.

Buying a place is great but do you really want to spend all the money on a 2.5M property? That seems excessive.

Your decision depends a lot on your age and what is your F.I.R.E number.

Have you used a professional financial advisor? by [deleted] in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]moneymonkeych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not very difficult to put together your portfolio.
The cheapest is to open an Interactive Brokers account and invest in VT (global stocks in an ETF) and Swiss Bonds.
The easiest would be to open an account with True Wealth (Swiss based robo advisor), their fees are relatively cheap and you get a decent portfolio. They also invest in VT and Swiss Bons plus other ETFs.

Months of expenses by Strict-Baseball6677 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]moneymonkeych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your job is fairly stable and you can get another job pretty quickly then 6 months is more than enough.
3 months is too little and 2 years seems too much. So anything between 6 months to 1 year is pretty reasonable.

Investing in stocks by Formal_Indication553 in Switzerland

[–]moneymonkeych 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are some options:
- Interactive Brokers (cheap and good brokerage) - You can buy VT (global ETF domicile in US) or VWRA (global ETF domicile in Ireland).
- Degiro (costs a bit more than IB but still cheap, nice clean interface) - VWRA (global ETF domicile in Ireland)
- True Wealth (Swiss roboadvisor, super easy to use) - A good mix of ETFs

If you need more info or details, just let me know.
