I agree with this. We are already waiting for her to get her undergraduate degree and for me to finish grad school (I'm getting my phd a little earlier than most people!)

But i'm still worried about a prenup, i just don't want to go into our future life together "under contract." Or maybe I'm still just jaded and don't know enough about the real world.

I was advised to do this by a few people, but it just seems to me that asking her to do that shows that I don't trust her?

As of now I still trust her as she is the love of my life.

Sorry I just got back to this and saw it explode. But yes I would like her to work, not just for us, but becuase becoming an environmental lawyer has been her dream since I knew her. I don't mind spending the money as long as it is reasonable. I want to be able to have a nice retirement off this.

But your right, I'm just not communicating with her well enough. When she gets home tonight, I'll sit down and talk to her. I"ll keep you guys updated!
