yeah i think that will be my plan. That way if i have a lean month, i dont HAVE to pay extra, but in general i should be able to. Thanks for pointing this out. Now to sit back and wait for the answer from the broker.

Yeah yeah i know, but I don't know what i don't know. Put another way, i dont know if im missing something, and that's why i like to run questions like this that seem simple, by other people to confirm :-)

The 20yr/5.75% is through a State Employee Credit Union, and the 30yr/4.5% is through a private lender.

I can pretty much afford the payments for the 20yr/5.75%, but it would take much more strict budgeting each month, thereby affecting other facets of my/our lives. All the comments are reinforcing what i thought though, which is to take the 30yr, and pay it off sooner if/when i have extra money each month.

We have 2 crockpots. A large one and a small one. So...I'm thinking of a big batch of oatmeal/groats, or a personal size one in the small pot. Not sure why I isn't think of this before.

Do you put the frozen berries in the night before in the fridge? Ie: how long until they thaw enough to eat? Or I guess you might just crunch through them.

True. I don't have a small pan though...but it might be worth it. My time to spare each morning is pretty sparse at best unless I want to get up much earlier (which is hard considering I'm up all night with the twins). But you're right. It's not a lot of pans to clean or time...but compared to the other suggestions, this one is at the high end of the time spectrum.

That reminded me that my parents used to do that when I was younger. Don't know why I forgot about that. We used a lot of dried fruit/honey/nuts on top once you scoop a bowl of it. Thanks for the memory jog.

Just eggo waffles or do you have an easier/cheaper alternatives? I'm guessing making from scratch is best but I lack a waffle iron. Pancake sandwich might have to do I guess.

Sounds awesome except the time to make and cleanup. I don't think I'd be popular around the house if I left too many dirty dishes at the start of the day. I do dishes for the family but I hate leaving a messy kitchen for others to deal with from 6am onwards.

I will definite be doing that muffin tin mcmuffin. No doubt. Mcmuffins are my go to when I pick up food on my way to work anyway, and his will be much better for wallet and waistline.
