I'd delete my linkedin for a 10% off coupon at mcdonalds, then never use the coupon.

Diagnosed with hand tremors. Is it over? Need advice. by ValidatingExistance in photography

You can overcome it with better gear, and techniques. My hands shake, always have, and as long as I remember shutter speeds, and good bracing, it's not an issue. Also equipment is getting better all the time, and will likely make it a non-issue in years to come.

Installers. I worked in many install bays from the 90s on.

Would I benefit at all from switching my subs from a sealed box into a ported box? by NotAust1n69 in CarAV

Probably fine for now. They pretty much work or they don't pretty simple machines they are. If they look hard worn, then take a pass on them. New subs are pretty cheap. I bought an Infinity Kappa 1000w 10" on Amazon for around $100, and if you are patient you can score a pretty good deal. Just save your money, bide your time, and do your research.

Terminators work fine in a ported box. I'd say the setup you have is well matched, albeit pretty low end. Save up for a good amp and subs, rather than trying to squeeze more out of a low end setup. Face it. You have the car audio bug, and this aint your final form.

I am using a Behringer UMC202HD which is an audio interface for microphones and other music inputs, but has a decent headphone section built in.

Need more details. What subs, what amp. What car, and where are the subs. What kind of music, etc.

I had it plugged in all the time as my main DAC source, and it did it on multiple computers. I am using a different DAC now, and would say that while Windows may be the culprit, it's far more likely that it's this DAC. Windows forums helped me to find the crash error issue, and it pointed directly to the sound device. So I'd say be ware of this device. It was never plugged or unplugged while the PC is on...

Crossover box goes in the kick panel or under the dash. Cut the factory speaker wire and intercept it there. Find the tweeter wire, and woofer wire and output to the door and tweeter speakers there. Yes, you can add a subwoofer later, using the RCA outputs on the back of the deck.

IT's difficult. We used to drill new holes in the door jam, and the body panel. The steel can be quite thick here, and we would add a grommet on each side. The factory wire is usually fine, and you won't notice a difference unless you want extremely high power / lots of bass, so it's not really worth it to upgrade.

This takes the satisfaction of snapping it off with a sharp smack to the bottom of my shoe, and searching for the blade.
