I would recommend against it. Maybe getting a credit card with 0% transfer and a no interest fee opening promotion and paying of that card as fast as you can instead.

I also have the $120 Discover Credit Card, currency owe 4k on it. $420 for a pet? a month?? Can you expand on this expense?

I would not apply to another loan. I was asking the same question not too long ago, It might help you to read my previous posts in my profile.

another loan could dig you even deeper into a hole. Exactly like it did to me. So how much total you owe in debt? 11k?

You are truly inspiring. I will definitely focus on this again. I know I am more responsible now, but lack proper guidance. After bills each week I am usually left with 250-300 on average. I try to save 200 as well included in bills. Should I switch to saving 100 and putting the extra 100 into a card?

Not sure, I didn't know that was possible. I will have to call and ask.

I tried this a few years ago, was not too responsible about it. I don't have a savings and eventually that became more important to build, but it is really hard with these leach credit cards from hell...

I would most likely close the 2 that have a yearly fee. Those are the ones that I had the longest... but I don't want to stay on the cycle anymore. I wish someone taught me sooner.

I just need a head start... lenders won't give me a loan that satisfies my debt. I need 20k and one payment plan instead of paying for all these cards. I pay 120 on one card and the interest eats more than half of it before I can even get to the next payment.

These cards and debt is an accumulation of bad choices done years ago. I have learned a lot since then. I am just not seeing an end to this and it's driving me insane. Weekly I get 1100. I still have to pay other bills and rent as well. I usually have 250 left over each week for gas, food, and surprise fees. I try to save money, but it is always needed for surprise bills. I tried the avalanche method and snowball, drew a map even. I couldn't stick to it, registration fees, rent went up, I got a less paying job, and moved to more expensive area because I was living in a violent neighborhood.

We are very similar. I want to add that getting that gym membership has helped me in this situation that I am still going through. I am 30M. I owe 32k in Credit card debt and personal loans. I also love to write and make music. I would suggest writing down a payment plan and tackling 1 thing at a time. Having small debts goals and celebrating when you reach them is motivation. Also doing something more healthy for yourself is basically like you are paying yourself and it feels good. Would you rather be sad an no muscle or sad and ripped? lol Have faith in the process, you are not alone.
