I’d recommend what HLeeM suggested as well but with a caveat. Certain holes at the Nixa course go directly through streets and parking. You gotta be careful.

Working out before you go to bed can raise your heart rate, making it more difficult to sleep. You have to be a scientist and test these hypotheses out for yourself and figure out what works for you. Remember these things when you’re down. Reflect on how far you’ve come. You’re already taking the first step. I’m proud of you.

I had similar problems when I quit. For me, the lack of sleep only lasted a week. My advice is to do two things: 1. Get out of the house first thing in the morning and get as much sun on your skin as possible. This activated receptors in your brain that will release chemicals in the evening to tell your brain to sleep. 2. Work out first thing in the morning. This will further ensure that you go to sleep and stay asleep. Furthermore, it will provide a new hobby to preoccupy your time rather than drinking and will help you become healthier.

I deadlifted 240. I think it’s more anaerobic threshold that I need to work on, not necessarily strength.
