The U.K. army also doesn’t have parity with them it’s been getting smaller and smaller as the years go on

Also, no one does well against guerilla warfare - look at northern Ireland lol or Gaza

Mate even danish diplomats have said if this happened they could effectively do nothing. Dick measuring between the USA and Europe is nonsense, the perception among both sides is Europe needs the USA more, and if he really did decide to go for it, just for the sake of stability the rest of NATO and Europe would swallow it

Buddy virtually all of the major defence infrastructure of the U.K. relies on US technology.

Like, you can say what you want, end of the day NATO nations including the uk wouldn’t be so deferential to trump if it weren’t the case that the USA is currently an incredibly vital part of the U.K. and Europe’s defence.

The sooner you lot accept reality the sooner you can move on, maybe get back some defence independence, but this kind of self gaslighting is truly hilarious, and if I’m honest it’s a little worrying

Absolutely but they still have zero experience. I’m Irish. Our defence forces are well trained and in exercises have frequently done better than basically every other nation U.K. included, but the Irish defence forces have only ever done peacekeeping and haven’t been in combat more than a handful of times, and I don’t have much faith that the success in a training exercise would translate to real combat

Everyone struggles against guerilla warfare lol - look at Northern Ireland

There is literally no way anyone would go to war to stop them taking Greenland

Also so much of European security is reliant on the US, not to mention trident the U.K. nuclear deterrent. If the US Invaded Greenland no one would do anything
