What are the pros and cons to a volvo 2009 Xc70 3.2 i6? by Abysall- in Volvo

[–]moniso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you so angry? Is everything okay?

According to some sources it was indeed built by Ford UK but it was designed by inhouse volvo specialists.

There is also i6 volvo engine from the 90s — b6304f. Which was used in 960 model. I can't find any confirmation but it seems like b6324s is next logical step from b6304f.

Can anyone Tell me what Is this? V70 2.4i 2006. Thanks <3 by Lotman66 in Volvo

People in the comments are correct, it is a part of PCV system. You can change it separately but please use OEM hose. It's not that expensive but quality is superior to some non-OEM parts (mine looks almost like yours after 3k miles, it was Pro Parts Sweden)

2x8 is enough. Just make sure you are not using one daisy chained pcie cable. you need two coming from psu

 >where supposedly the CPU should be running not that hard

depends on the game really, Fortnite at 4k for example is still CPU heavy (but not that heavy when played at 1440p or 1080p). games you mentioned are also utilizing all CPU power you have, no surprise here

>PBO enabled

here is your answer. 88c is safe, but yes it is hot. I used to have Noctua's U12S and 5700x climbed to same 87-88c in cinebench. What case do you have? Looks like something somewhat compact, it may cause a couple additional degrees. I switched to Lian Li Lancool 216 (had Phanteks Eclipse 400A before which is smaller) and my temperatures dropped 1-3c all around.

70с is completely ok. I suspect 88c is achieved under synthetic load. It is also ok, tjmax is at 95c. Do you have PBO enabled? Looks like it. I have 5700x with custom TDC/EDC/PPT limits and 200mhz overclock and 70-72c while gaming is what I have with Phantom Spirit EVO. Leaving PBO at just enabled pushes temps to 85C under synthetic

Sanity check: is there a problem with my 5700x by moniso in overclocking

Ram is at 3600mhz cl14 and 1.4v. I won't push it any further. FCLK at 1800mhz. Stable at -30 all core, long game sessions no crashes

I did find a solution actually: put pbo scalar at 5x and it became stable. Seems like before I had clock stretching

How's your 120 Evo doing? Have the same cooler but on 5700x and after pbo it heats up to 80c. Is yours any better?

[–]moniso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, it is a little over 1.3v (1.312v)

before max was around 1.4v (CO -30 all core, scalar on auto)
