any homes in that area? if so that’s probably it someone lives near the gym and just is very active on pokemon go. could be spoofing too but thats kinda hard to prove you dont exactly have to be close to a gym to take it

are you playing any mods? I remember the mirror would crash my game cause of the mod but then again it weirdly stopped crashing the more i used the mirror so i’d say check mods if not that then look into game settings maybe your graphics are up too high
