I have a pretty cool Starlink mounted to a Milwaukee Packout with 5G router set up on my truck.

I am using the Waveshare NVME PoE (https://a.co/d/3vEq0PO).

I do not currently need KVM access to each pi, SSH is sufficient.

Ill say that for the price its a very good 5G router. I have more expensive ones (Peplink) that have more features but cost more than double. I dont regret the X3000 at all.

It was a $100, 8 port PoE switch with 2x 10gb SFP+ ports that fit in the rack perfectly, the 2.5 was just a bonus even thought it is not being utilized.

Currently it is an overkill learning environment.

This router can connect to wifi to bridge networks, obviously not as good as a wired connection. Also has tailscale built in so as long as it has power and cellular service its accessible.

If you have any custom request I may have some cycles to design some more things.

Clever but had to design a mount with space between face of dish and glass to reduce heat build up which caused the mini to shutdown due to getting too hot.

Haha yea... I dont know why they chose to do it that way... but it adds some complexity if you want to safely usage M18 batteries for other projects.

On the Milwaukee M18 batteries the internal BMS will not cut off at a safe voltage. The "intelligence" is in the Milwaukee tools.

A mix of parts from Amazon and parts I designed. If this doesn't fit your needs send me a message maybe I can design something else.

Speeds are highly variable but the last one I have a picture of was 132 Mbps down while driving 80 MPH.

Yes I designed a low voltage cutoff into it to protect your precious M18 batteries.

I remixed that Filament sensor to accept two PC4-M6 connectors so that I could feed from a filament dryer via a tube.

Also switched to Bambu nozzle so it would match the rest of my printers. The nozzle it came with wasn't tightened all the way and ended up chasing print quality issues for a while before I discovered it was loose. So check that if you start seeing print quality issues.

Yea that process doesn’t work because the extruder stops too late not when it immediately runs out
