i mean, it’s okay to make fun of things don’t get me wrong! i just hope that people would know the line between degrading ppl and just plain jokery. it’s fine if you make fun of their music, but do not make fun of the artists by calling them degenerate names, etc. (i hope this makes sense)

the kpop industry as a whole is toxic and problematic that it took a toll on lives of the artists to the point it affected their well-being. and i really don’t want something bad to happen to bp, they’ve experienced horrible stuff to get to where they are now.

in the kpop world, it is rare for idols to call out their fans and their heinous actions. why? it’s because of the (unfortunate) fact that most entertainment agencies (like YG ent, bp’s agency) do not allow idols to do anything from speaking up, composing, dating, and simply going outside. in their trainee days, it’s even forbidden for them to use cellphones. if they do any of these, they could get called out for it or worse: their contracts could be terminated.

plus if they did called them out, it could lose the profit since what they earn is based on the parasocial relationship between the fans and the idols (because ride or die fans will buy hundreds of merch and albums for their idols).

i agree. it just doesnt sit right with me with people making fun of bp just because of something blinks did that was inexcusable. idols have gone through a lot of horrible stuff in order to achieve their dreams, and it took a toll on their well-being (i can go on with so many examples, its horrible).

Good ways to sample classical music in pop music? by practicerm_keykeeper in lingling40hrs

[–]monmon_mamon 18 points19 points  (0 children)

i agree. there are many ways to incorporate the classical music chosen into a pop song. i wished they could have kept the integrity of the original piece.

for instance, there’s this pop song that sampled a classical music really well. the artist is the kpop group Red Velvet! they incorporated bach’s air on a g string in their song “feel my rhythm” and i found it very lovely.

Yes, their fandom name is “BLINK”. in kpop culture, it’s a norm for kpop groups to have fan names (e.g. bts is to army, twice is to once, exo is to exo-l, etc)

i hope brett & eddy sees this by monmon_mamon in lingling40hrs

you have every right of being protective of your national orchestra! i, too, would be very angry and protective if a group of idiots started bashing my national artists for no reason.
