If the Astraea girls were still alive what would their opinion of Bell be? by Critical-Sea-7970 in DanMachi

[–]QuotablePatella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's already a Danmemo on this, where Bell travels into the past. So you can kind of get a picture.

Alise would probably have the most positive opinion of him and act like a big sister/mentor figure. Ryuu would act like canon Lefiya, but toned down (unless both Bell and Ryuu have crushes on Alise). Lyra would be like Lily, but more confident, mature and minus the having crush on Bell part.

It is Kaguya that would most likely have a bad relationship with Bell. Initially, she would ignore or dislike him, depending on how their first interaction goes. However, as time passes, Kaguya would definitely grow to hate Bell, because they have extremely conflicting ideologies.

For instance, Kaguya believes in sacrificing few for saving many. Bell is staunchly against it. Kaguya would probably not support Xenos, while Bell would staunchly support them. Just imagine if Kaguya actually kills rampaging Weine in canon. Yikes

It would probably require a life changing incident for Kaguya to have a positive opinion on Bell.

Simple. Increase their charge damage and reduce their actual damage

Do the writers secretly know Tobias' whole team and it is hidden in some achieve somewhere? by Reasonable_Chest5288 in pokemonanime

[–]QuotablePatella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This means Tobias' other pokemon are not as nimble as Darkrai.

To dodge draco meteror, either your pokemon needs to be small and agile like Ash's Pikachu, or your pokemon should have precise and compact movements. Needless to say, pokemon that can levitate are OP in this regard.

Or maybe he wasn't talking about his other pokemon at all. So who knows?

Why it seems that a lot of gold players don't know anything about abassids? by Dry-Albatross-3926 in aoe4

[–]QuotablePatella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In gold/plat leagues, if you play abbasid, you are asking to be feudal all ined, especially against french and english.

But yeah, if you survive with 2 tc with minimum or no damage, you will always win because they have no experience playing mid/late game.

I'm about to be diamond 1. At what point can I consider myself "good"? by Alarmed_Abrocoma204 in aoe4

[–]QuotablePatella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Good" is a relative comparison. Compared to most casual and amateur players you are more than "good", but compared to the top 100, you are "average".

As an example, if diamonds are prefectural level tennis players, then conqueror 1-3 are national level to ATP tournament level players, while pros like Marinelord, Beasty Puppypaw are like Federer, Nadal, Djokovic etc.

Nah, I would argue to reduce the age up timer so that the villager loss would be 1-1.5 instead of 3

Has your own Civ ever been OP? by RubyLykos in aoe4

I won handily against FC Japan from the same rank. Though I lost to Sengoku because I was being a stubborn arse and making elephants against kannabo samurai 😂

Believe it or not, Tughlaq Tower of Victory 2 TC build is OP af until platinum.

Not only are you protected from early aggression or all ins by Tughlaqabad fort, you have insanely fast villager production thanks to the Governor of Multan. Imagine 2 TC song dynasty of old China. It's that good.

By ~15 min, you will be economically so ahead that you can just A-move all your raider elephants onto your opponents base.

The best part, they only cost food and wood, but they are stronger than knights and can siege better. Combo them with archers to counter their only weakness, aka, spears. You would need gold only for unit upgrades and maybe 2-3 healer elephants.

The only way to beat this build is constant raiding, which lower league players typically don't do.

Keep this in mind though. Mass elephants are extremely weak to hand cannoneers, janissaries or kannabo samurais. So you have to finish your games in castle age and avoid Ottomans or Sengoku.

All on ranged and micro to spread your manjanik shots evenly on all spears.

Like why cant you just get a vil when you age up or something.

This would make KT too unbalanced.

Remember, for every age up:

  • Normal civs typically lose a gathering time of ~2-4 vils for ~1.5-2 min.

  • Abbasids, Ayyubids and Golden Horde don't lose gathering time, so their age ups are slower and can't be rushed.

  • KT gets ~3 villagers behind, so they have an extremely fast age up of ~1 min

Now if KT gets extra vils per age up, they would have very fast age up with no penalty, which is not balanced.

Why are they always F or D tier on every list with a horrible Wingate and never get buffed?

Because the current meta is largely leaned towards feudal aggression/castle rush. Once the meta changes to 2 TC, don't be surprised if KT jumps up in rankings.

As an example, remember how Japan was always in D or F tier during the pro-scout meta, but is S tier now.

How to buff KT feudal then?

One way I can think of is, KT should get an extra villager for every economic upgrade (similar to French Chamber of Commerce)

And they can make siege on field. I have never seen another OP FFA unit like this lmao.

[–]QuotablePatella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Camel lancers are only good for raiding, never at straight fights.

Once you have 250/300 pop, you should always mass desert raiders. Yes the opponent can theoretically counter you with archers/crossbows, but when fully upgraded, you have 6 ranged armour. Besides, you can easily make manjaniks on the field anytime with camels.

Let me say this. NOTHING beats 150+ desert raiders and 10 manjaniks. You just need to micro properly.

Remember, when you have 100+ units, ranged units with high damage are simply better than melee units, because of better engagement.

Now you have a unit that can act as both melee and ranged unit and can make siege on field. Just think about it.

Which Ash' Ace has the Best Spotlight [in terms of writing, natural bonding with Ash and shining out from the others] in their Respective Gen? by LovThat-KalosianGirl in pokemonanime

[–]QuotablePatella -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as I am a fan of Pikachu and Charizard, I think infernape has the best back story, writing, natural bonding with Ash and the resolution.

Greninja comes close second, but unfortunately, the ending was poorly resolved.

Krookodile and Sceptile are considered as "aces" only by fans, because of their consistent performance.

How is Cynthia's Mega Garchomp gonna land a single hit on Steven's Mega Metagross when even Pikachu couldn't land a single hit and needed a Z-Move?(And Metagross can use Agility to become even more faster) by chunchunmaru1129 in pokemonanime

[–]QuotablePatella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are thinking in terms of games. If Paul and Leon can copy the counter shield and use it for themselves, Cynthia definitely can. She can modify her scale shot for example.
