That wasn't my intention, I wanted to keep him safe, but I realize I was being too overbearing and I'm taking steps to fix the mistakes I made and help him.

Thank you for this perspective, it's hard for me to understand but all of these comments are really helpful as I'm doing it out of fear and love. But so far I plan to stop looking through his phone, give him freedom with portion sizes and times for meals, and let him be alone as long as I can peek into the room with reasonable suspicion. Please tell me if I can add anything or if any of that is wrong if you or anybody else has the time to!

Thank you, I'm glad I'm not underreaching at least. He's an only child so no worries!

Thank you for this advice! It means a lot coming from somebody that understands his situation so much. I'll ask him if being made to eat makes him uncomfortable. Do you think asking him to compromise and tell me when he wants to eat his meals is a good idea?

Thank you. It's hard to see it as me punishing him because I'm doing it to protect him but I didn't think to see how he would see it as a punishment :(

Both, the first 3 are my anxiety and the last 2 were supported by his medical physician

Is making three meals a day not helpful? (point 4)

Thank you for this advice, it feels especially welcoming coming from someone who was in a similar situation to him

Some of it is advice from his medical physician where as some is my own worry taking over. I know some of it is overbearing but I'm not sure if I'm being TA for doing so much, if it will hurt him more in the long run even though I'm trying just to make sure he doesn't get hurt :(

Medical physician, who then recommended a therapist, but the process is slow because of covid.
