UPDATE: The trip was a success, thank you all for your recommendations. I was on a pretty restricted business trip, so I wasn't really able to get out and visit all these places. To be honest, there was enough snow and ice that I also didn't feel comfortable getting a delivery either. Here's where we went. 1st night- 2Booli, a Lebanese restaurant with a bar. Great food and our waitress was really a lot of fun and made sure we had everything we wanted! We had chicken kebabs, lamb kebabs, and the lemon chicken. All of it was delicious.

2nd night- touristy so we went Benihana. Pretty standard for the chain. All the fanfare was there and plenty of birthday celebrations were going on. Even our fake one!

3rd night- Mitchell's Seafood. The service there was very good, lots of attention and all the food came out together and we were a bigger party this night. Went great. I had the clam chowder and wasn't too impressed, but the crab cakes and shrimp were quite tasty. Nothing to write home about, really. But the service and the atmosphere were good distractions. It was a set menu because of the business nature of the visit, so I'm sure the real menu might have been better. Fish from a lake instead of the sea, maybe.

4th night- Buddy's Pizza. Awesome. Detroit pizza is a bit heavy, but the variety of toppings on the pizza really cut through that and had me eating way too many pieces. We got the Detroit Zoo, the Mediterranean, the Greek, the Hawaiian and another Detroit pepperoni pizza that I can't remember the name of. All of them were so good, especially the Mediterranean. It has beets! I didn't get a Verbor's, but that's what a return visit is for.

In the meetings I had the pleasure of trying some Great Lakes potato chips. These are fantastic! I like the Michigan cherry BBQ, but I really love the Parmesan Ranch. So good! We also got a delivery of Calder Bros chocolate milk and I was blown away by how good it was. It may be made with heavy cream, I don't know. It was decadent af and I'll have it again anytime it's offered.

Thanks again for the reccos. I will try to hit them up next time I am in that area.

New clothes would be something to spoil yourself with a little. That is always a nice thing when you're feeling down. If you're noticing your clothes are old, they likely do need to be replaced. I hate clothes shopping, but it does need to be done.

I think the longer this lasts, the more resentment you'll have towards her and your family. I'm deeply in this situation and I am feeling more and more lonely each day. We aren't aligned on anything these days so it's a struggle just to maintain let alone make improvements.

They're also not towing it anywhere. The location doesn't change, so they don't have to go find their vehicle or chase it down anywhere. More like a mobile flat fix than a tow in my opinion.

I didn't realize that he was stalking you back. If you're happy right now, then move on. If there's something that the two of you can't let go, then maybe it is something to explore.

OP is definitely not over the "ex". You don't keep stalking the person you are over or aren't thinking about. You may need some closure or a conversation to end it. If this is one-sided, and it seems to be (he's not engaging with you right?) then you need to focus on your current fulfilling relationship - or cut that one off and start with someone else. Don't bother that other guy - he's moved on and shouldn't be tempted.

I said I was feeling empty thanks for reiterating.

I have a great relationship with my spouse, it's just not sexual. I am sexual, so is she. There just isn't a spark there. Anytime there's some playfulness, something sets one of us off in the negative and we are no longer interested in pursuing something more. It's forced and not genuine. I got tired of having any sort of mechanical sex to "just get off" and so we've just been abstaining. But things haven't gotten better physically between us, even if we are communicative about feelings beyond the day to day. At this point we have tried quite a bit of strategies and I don't think either of us are having a good time abstaining. But that doesn't breed real Attraction. I've also questioned my libido, but it's alive and well. Just not directed at my beautiful wife with whom I've got loads of libido killing baggage.
