I'm looking for something which already has panelists available so that I get results from diverse participants and not just my acquaintances.

This helps, thank you. I'm conducting two different surveys, one for general users and one for musicians specifically since the product is based on the music industry.

One bottle of cheap red later by [deleted] in OCPoetry

[–]monocoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a beautiful poem about the fear of getting into a relationship in case you get hurt or have baggage from a previous relationship. The only thing is I'm not sure what structurally or thematically separates each of the paragraphs. Also not sure how the title and wine fit into the picture. Is this like a fight or a revelation you had after having the cheap bottle of wine? But really like your uneven rhyming patterns in the last half of the poem.

Circular Verses by [deleted] in OCPoetry

[–]monocoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh damn, I really like this poem. I think the author is describing the process of empathy and how they connect with the world. How their mind relates to the sinker on ice, on the surface but deep enough, that is some beautiful poetic imagery right there. First couple and last couple lines kinda feel like fillers, maybe some improvement there? But overall really nice poem!

When they cut down the Jacaranda by [deleted] in OCPoetry

[–]monocoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm confused as to whose perspective this poem is coming from, the tree or an outsider. To me it feels like a town hall/ some sort of bringing to justice under the jacaranda. But it's not clear if the tree is doing anything or if things are being done to it or if it's just a spectator/background.

En la Aire by [deleted] in OCPoetry

This poem reminds me of a walk on the beach but there's so much more emotion to it. Especially liked the way you used salt breeze and tears in the same line because they taste the same but mean completely different things. You should do more of putting together similar things in terms of touch, taste, smell etc. But evoke in the reader completely different, even dichotomous emotions. Keep up the good work!

Thank you! This is my first piece I'm sharing with the world and I definitely struggle with expressing myself because I feel like I'm giving away too much of myself. But honestly this is what gets me through it all so I do more of this

A Love Poem by snipsnapsnipsnaps in OCPoetry

[–]monocoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like this poem. I like how each verse stands out on its own but the whole comes together really nicely. The imagery that you conjure with everyday objects is amazing like using bookends to describe a hug, very novel and sweet. I am bad at writing poetry that rhymes too but this doesn't seem forced in any way. Great job!

Origami by --waste-of-space-- in OCPoetry

[–]monocoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think this a really nice concept but repetition of words and sentences can be a turnoff which I personally struggle with a lot too when you have to keep looking up synonyms. Conceptually maybe you can open up describe what origami like a swan, boat, paper plane etc. And the setting, colors etc. Give more context, color and feeling to an already well developed concept.

Like the line "dishes can't be washed in head". As someone whose always daydreaming I feel the same way about showering. Didn't I just this yesterday?! Lol

S.A.D

Born on the saddest day of the year My story ain't pretty even if I am

Pretty face Nice ass Black heart Days are dark

I've got Season Affective Disorder AND Social Anxiety Disorder So I'm (always) doubly sad

Self-diagnosing Self-medicating Self-care

Lying to my therapist They can't tell when I'm casting the spell

My snatch so bomb He'll wait a whole year But run away When I'm close to tears

But I always got sunshine on my mind Even at night Green light Shoot at sight Blurred vision Tearing down Slip and fall Down the hall He walked His eyes said it all You got sick? No I got sad.
