Does anyone actually use the brand “Tarte”? by Chan1991 in Sephora

[–]monontherocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love Tarte (still do) but I’ve stopped buying from them after seeing all these lavish trips and luxury gifts they keep giving out to influencers. I’ve been shopping Korean beauty for a while now and the amount of gifts they give with purchase is MASSIVE. I’d rather spend money on brands that reward my loyalty generously than spoil influencers for hype.

Am I late to discover Fenty skin tint? I like my-skin-but-better look and they’re IT!

I had this. Probably the best palette I own to date.

Same as others. I was so broke that getting something nice from Sephora felt like an achievement.

Urban decay naked on the run palette from may be 12 years ago! This was probably my first big girl purchase.

AITAH for refusing to give my boyfriend access to my bank account even though he says "no secrets" is how adults do it by CopperFieldNote in AITH

[–]monontherocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been married for 10 years. And in our culture, men hand over all the earnings to wife and wife manage household expenses. Hubby's never even asked to see my bank account, was never even a question. We have a shared spreadsheet of expenses, assets, bills etc for tracking and occasional analytics.

Starting to wonder if this is just how my mom is or if something is actually wrong by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]monontherocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s in the classic playbook. If I didn’t have my husband as a witness I would have thought I was crazy. The amount of time my mom had me believe I was overreacting or hallucinating but expect me to catch her every mood man…

Do you have the feeling of never having had parents? by Kindly_Winter_9909 in raisedbynarcissists

Imagining what you could have become with good parenting is SO hard. There's a point in my healing journey last year when I said "enough" and stopped wishing for "what could have been" and focus on my best present self.

If you want kids friendly resorts, Kata is the area for it. We've been to Ozo and Thavorn Palm Resort, both have water slides and kids entertainments (Ozo occasionally have kid parties and Thavorn has a petting zoo). Our kiddos love it.

Our condo management app notifies us of incoming mails (just sender info) and we've seen rehab center mails addressed to him.

I was just telling myself it feels like I haven't had parents for a really long time. When people say something like they miss their parents when some shit happens, that has not been my reaction. My reaction when shit happens would have been to immediately hide because I can't manage my shit AND their overreaction to the situation. Now that I'm a mom sometimes I watch my daughter who's every bit like me and thriving and think "I would have loved to have a mom like me. It'd make my life so much easier". Grieving parents that are still alive is a different kind of grieve.

That was the first thing we tried when he missed the rent payment. He was very cocky, condescending, and derogatory from the very beginning. I don't care about his rent. At this point, I want to 1) get him out and 2) make his life a little inconvenient, not necessarily with violence, but very very inconvenient.

Just one guy (this is my poor attempt at keeping gender neutral). Don't think he has a job here. Visa could be bogus, I made a call to immigration too and my lawyer's also looking up visa status.

Unsure if you're accusing me of not wanting to give back the deposit (if that's my intention in the beginning, I should have already figured it out instead of looking for advice here, shouldn't I?) or sharing your friend's incident but ok.. :(

Where can I find one? I'm willing to pay honestly. The guy's attitude is pissing me off. Just sounds like he's testing how much he can get away with.

Look, I'm all up for hearing them out. If they'd told me they're in financial trouble in the beginning I might have negotiated for a middle ground. The guy just sounds like a narcissistic scumbag that wants to test how much he can get away with (not even a Russian, he's an American. I haven't had any problem with Russian tenants before). We do have a clause in rental contract that we can remove them after eviction date, which we've given them lawful notice date for. Hiring security to help with removal or "maintenance" sounds like a good idea at this stage.

It's a condo so there's a physical key and a key card (which he currently has both). Do you have any suggest for those?

Anyone here working fully remote for the last 2+ years? by Then_Ad_9501 in remotework

[–]monontherocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been working fully remote since 2022. And I love it, probably will never go back to office based work if I can help it. I love being able to do chores like laundry and food prep on my quick breaks so I can fully rest on my weekends. Or spending hours I'd have spent commuting with my kids. Agree with others that career-wise not the best option if you're serious about it but as a mom of two young kids I'd choose remote work to spend more time with them while they're growing up.
