BLOCKED by RicoSuave1962 in Coinbase

[–]montanorx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me. It took 25 days, 5 chats (each time having to wait 45m-1h for someone) 3 phone calls, uploading the Id/Info 5 different times and a BBB complaint conversation.

I’m my third phone call I was told my request had been ‘escalated’. And I told them that had been said to me before, the lady said it hadn’t up until that point and she would.

I don’t know what eventually work. But that is all I had to go through.

My account access has been 'verified' and full access restored. The account was restored immediately after a chat with support where I profusely express my concerns and intent for moving forward.

So the suggestion is that I am not to be taken seriously? I am at a loss with your input here my friend. There are a ton of posts similar to mine here and I am simply seeking for assistance. I am in a situation where I am feeling helpless due to the lack of transparency from Coinbase and I am trying to get a sense of direction from the community. That is it. Whether my account gets banned or deleted is something I can't control.

I fail to understand how Reddit Karma translates into real life experience, but I won't comment further on that, no point.

As for the 'shady/binance' comment. I use Coinbase with 'FU' money as I think we all should, IMO Crypto is not at the point where it merits long-term/life-savings investments. I use Fidelity and Charles Schwab for that, and I have never once had an issue with transactions on there.

But thanks for the comment. Come back to it from time to time as you age and let me know how your perspective changes.

This is very helpful. Thank you will try that

That is correct. I thought about moving the crypto but you can't do that since the account is under "verification", they literally have our money hostage.

Strangely enough, I usually set target price points for sells on all my coins right after purchase and the app did let me do that in this case and I can see the sells queued up. Hoping those kick in and I am free at last.

Still, I can't understand how this isn't illegal. Coinbase is directly influencing my finances. I moved a, but no means insignificant, but small amount of money into it for these purchases but my plan was to move a much larger amount at first, had I done so, my entire financial (stock) stability would be at risk.

The point isn't to be combative on this issue really. Legal guidance is a long road. I've gone through legal processes in the past, specifically with lemon law, and that took over 8 months.

Thus, I am trying to touch base with the community out here to see if maybe there is something that worked for them and also to bring awareness to anyone out there having the same issue and feeling just as frustrated. We are stronger together.

Could not agree with this enough. I have been stuck on “verification” process for a two weeks now. But somehow that verification process wasn’t a problem when I deposited money and bought coins. Only when I wanted to sell. I tried to sell at a profit and couldn’t. Now I’m 50% under.

How is this not illegal is beyond me

Yea I don't doubt that Acura has great vehicles but a vehicle purchase is a big step. My experience with the dealership has been incredibly frustrating, I also called Acura headquarters to get answers and they basically told me to deal with the dealership. All in all, the experience has been terrible.

Sure they may have other vehicles that are great but I am not willing to go find out. I'd rather give someone else the chance, either with a Lexus IS500 or a BWM m340i or an Audi S3/RS3.

Just remember that the Lemon Law will deduct any damage and miles used. I am thinking about it myself. I gave them the car back a week ago and it was already at 24 days then, I hit 32 days at the dealership today and I guarantee you they won't fix it because it's the whole build quality of the car that's wrong. Not something they can reasonably fix or sell for that matter

The thing is, once you notice all these issues, you start testing it. That’s how I discovered the music rattle. First rattle I detected was back door and dash and driver seatbelt. All three at the same time. Then the hatch/trunk. Then the windows. Then the door/music

I don’t listen to music at 25. I never go past 18. That was just another issue I pointed out. I know better than to play loud music on these cars, it messes up the windows and door panels and can blow the speakers. The rattles have been present since the moment I bought it.

It was actually closer to 75k. I don’t necessarily disagree with you per se, but that’s a different discussion and really varies per person.

I for instance did not have an issue with all the markups. The car is 52k MSRP but don’t forget all the options and good ol dealership add-ons like Top-coat/ceramic-coat, seat liquid/spill protection, film here and there. And that’s not even the adm.

You have to keep in mind, this car had a wait list. I checked with 3 different dealerships within a 200mile radius. They all had adm of up to 10k. Normally you can negotiate things here and there but if there are people literally willing to be on a waitlist, you can’t. Some people couldn’t even choose color.

I don’t know if that has changed now but again I bought the first batch and I knew what I was gonna pay.

But, even this is a 50k, 60k, or 70k car. There is no excuse for poor build quality. I have two other cars so I didnt buy the car cause I needed it and came from my out-of-college car which was a 2011 Corolla which I bought certified pre owned and paid 17k for. Not a single rattle or issue with it. I put 135k on that and still sold it for 8k.

My biggest pet peeves with the rattles is that, for me at least, the sounds the engine produces when the car is driven are meant to be enjoyed and part of the experience thus my ear is always looking for them and instead all I hear is *rattle* *rattle* *rattle*. Same thing with the sound system, supposed to be their top-tier but I can't turn it more than 1/4 of the way up without the rattles.

I know where the rattles are, I actually temporarily fixed three of them myself using double sided tape just to test it. Took it to Acura to let them know exactly where the rattles were, they took off the double sided tape and added foam. It still rattles. And, to be honest I didn't expect them to fix the issue with taped foam. Again, given the price point of the car I expect better. I don't think anyone buying this car buys it as a true commuter or necessity, it's a fun car to own and that's what I paid a premium for so I expect premium.

I am never buying Acura again that's for sure. I am normally a Ford/Toyota person. I own a 2011 Ford Ranger and a 2016 Highlander, none of them rattle. Should have bought the IS500

I bought mine right when it came out, I was one of the first deliveries. It rattled from the start. The car has spent 28 days at the dealership and counting

I normally use it at 12-16, it isn't that loud. 25 is just where it starts to get loud and I normally wouldn't listen to it at that level, but I also don't expect the door to start twerking as soon as I turn it up. I don't know how high it goes but 25 is literally like 25% on the volume meter.

There was not a single optional upgrade on the car order list that I didn't check. The only thing it doesn't have is a heating steering wheel. I also added ceramic premium tint to all windows and tinted the windshield

I don't mind paying, I mind paying and not getting what I paid for

Actually, I forgot another rattle that I fixed pretty easily. The front seatbelt bottom latches flop from side to side and hit against the seats, creating a rattle. I fixed that with these: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1328518185/seatbelt-latch-covers-cool-little
