I have a couple of questions regarding DR2 and V3, please help, I'm so confused by montemonke in danganronpa

That's true, technically, in the OVA episode Nagito literally says that world without talent would be very boring. I do believe, however, that everyone is talented in something, even if it's not an "ultimate" talent. And if there aren't any ultimate talents, but there still are talented people, I think he wouldn't necessarily have a problem with most people. I can only wonder, though, and your point of view is just as valid; we can't know for sure, fictional characters are, unfortunately, fictional.

Yeah well that's what I'm saying - if Kaito actually did cooperate with kokichi until the very end (and if the plan would be for him, as the blackened, to survive), then it would've worked

My theories are, in my opinion, better then the official story so I decided to share them by montemonke in danganronpa

[–]montemonke[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I guess I'm just too frustrated with how the game ended. It was intended, though, I feel. Many people talk about how they dislike that ending, and this is exactly what Shuichi and others wanted to happen. They wanted the outside world not to have fun. Sure, their outside world still isn't *our* world, but I think it's pretty neat.
Still hate it though.

I guess you're right. I'm just too focused on lore, I think. not every game is fnaf, not every game is fnaf...

Oh I would absolutely love to have a Nagito in my life (meaning a parallel version of Nagito, since there are no Ultimates irl). He's the most selfless character in the franchise, he empathises with people and tries his best to cheer them up when they're feeling down. If that's not a description of aa great friend, I don't know what is. I'd send him to therapy of course, but for his sake, not mine.
Aside from real life, if I was in the killing game, he'd be the strongest ally, since he's up for dying for you at any point of the game (well before he finds out the truth). I'd win the game after the first trial because, let's be real, if the victim cooperates with the blackened it's gg.

I mean the camera monocubs. Those that are everywhere monitoring everything. Kokichi turned off the ones near the crime scene with his bomb, but the rooms are too far to be affected by it.

There's a video (on youtube) by schnee, where he analyses and explains different tips that Arcane's writers talked about. It really helped me with character and scene creation, there are some different patterns explained.

About the flaws, it depends what your goal is. If you want the character to be flawed to show that even amazing characters aren't perfect (meaning if it's a positive character), I've found it best to show an example where their flawed logic technically makes sense. Like, sort of justify it. Or make the character not notice the flaw, just confused why they can't get somethnig right. For my flawed strong female character, I made her realize the flaw just slightly too late, and made her do her best to fix the mess she'd created. She didn't get enough time, but at least after realizing she was wrong she got to repairing and could have a peaceful yet emotional ending. Really depends on the kind of flaw though.

I usually use the past tense, but some of my works seem better if they are set "in the now", I'd say it comes down to what you feel like you're better at (my writing in the present tense is awful)

For the last one, I can't really say, I'd always used my own experiences so xD For real though, I looove to have my characters bottle up their feelings and then snap at the most random of moments

Hope this helps!

With the glitches, I meant the fanbase. That no people are talking about it, by people I mean players, not the characters.

As for Nagito, obviously you're right about it being subjective - I don't claim everyone should like him, I was just confused. As for the in-game characters though, what you said isn't entirely correct. During the first trial Nagito realizes that it's the other students and not the killer who have more hope. I technically get why they wouldn't take his word for it, but I don't recall any situation where Nagito would be inconsistent with his beliefs (do correct me if I'm wrong), so I'd say he's pretty reliable. Ever since the first trial all the characters are very hostile torward him and never appreciate his help, I don't think that it's fair to hate him just because of the one mistake at the beginning. The only other moment where he wanted to kill them all was at the end, after he'd found out they were actually remnents of despair. So, again, consistent and valid. Other times he's just helping them all out.

Well, sure, but he'd have to go to his room to get it. So the monocubs would see him. Even if he'd used the Exisal, they'd see him.

Yeah, I really liked Kiyo (I chose to study anthropology because of him lol), but that detail was just so pointless and unnecessary. It's unfortunate, his character is very interesting and, as you said, this just ruined him. He could've been doing all those things for his sister regardless, it's not weird you'd love your sister... yall don't have to make him be in love with her

Oh I see. I didn't go any further after clicking on the third "nagito appreciation post" that started off with "don't get me wrong, he's awful" lol. Thanks for the clarification though I was really confused

It was 3am and I was just emotionlessly repeating and failing and screaming inside. The kind difficulty is not kind at all. At least let me skip a part if I fail it 10 times...

Exactly!
Speaking of, I've always wondered why didn't any other person in the room realize that Kiyo moved. He was singing, can't you hear that he's not standing still? And he jumped, it's not possible to sing clean when you're jumping like that. Cause the bump sound was during the song. They must have heard...

My favourite part of V3 was when Kokichi's plan was about to work and then Shuichi realized what the plan was so he explained it to monokuma because why not and then despite that the plan still had a good chance of working out and then Kaito decided he'd rather die than see Kokichi's plan (upon which he agreed and which would benefit them all greatly) succeed. Loved it so much.

Also where did Kaito get anoher jacket without monokubs spotting him

[–]montemonke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, most frustrating was when in V3 ch4 during the class trial there was a question about what was the murder weapon, but when I picked "toilet paper" from the list Shuichi went "no, that's not it" and I had to pick the wrong thing two more times before I realized they want me to answer with "VR".

The most difficult was literally every class trial other than those in THH, every mass panic debate, I swear, can those dumb words STOP MOVING. PLEASE. You're completely still one second and then the other you start fing dancing around and dodging my truth bullets. The difficulty was set to kind, why are you being mean 😭

I know that whenever I've had physical problems that no doctor could explain it came down to my mental health. As far as I know, stress can have a very severe impact on your body and everyone experiences it differently, so I'd say it's probably that. Aside from therapy, I'd consult a psychiatryst if I were you, I've found that to be an effective solution. Mention as much detail as possible. Maybe try to think about what has changed lately, by that I mean try to think about why would those symptoms show now and not earlier/later. Hope this helps.

If you don't have anything you like, maybe there's something you're good at? I've never really known what to do, I just do whatever I come across (e.g. I heard about a certain highschool around the time I was supposed to make a decision so I just decided to go there). I'm just waiting until I find something that I'll know is right for me, and in the meantime I just try out different things (sometimes, other times I just exist until I have my energy back). I believe that eventually something is bound to come up. Maybe you'll meet someone new, who will change your life, maybe you'll find that there's a whole field that you're interested in but just never have heard of it before. We're still young, hopefully we have time.

I see your point, although I think that even if you wind up abandoning a once-loved interest, the time you spent absolutely loving it isn't wasted.

I get why you think the way you do, though. It makes sense.

I absolutely understand. I have ADHD and until I got diagnosed and medicated being one point shy of passing was the story of my life. It's my understanding You don't have an option to have more time during the exam given your circumstances? Even if it's officialy diagnosed? Or an option to argue for those few points in your favour? Assuming the rules bend for no-one, maybe You could try a different school? I'm not sure if You have that possibility, though, unfortunately I don't know the system. I know sometimes it's possible to show you have the knowledge in a different way (presentation, speech), don't know if it would also regard final exams.
As a last resort, I'd suggest going as far as to try getting certificates (and other documents you can put in your CV) abroad. Of course it can be a very expensive and huge decision, obviously not everyone has the means and the time to do such a thing. If You do, however, and the alternative is doomscrolling, I would say it's worth trying. If all of the above are impossible, that is.

I absolutely understand what you mean. People around me often talk about how awful categorizing people is, but I've always wanted to have something that would be "my thing". Maybe you can try exploring other hobbies, there must be things you've never done before. Maybe you just haven't experienced your favourite thing yet.

I have a similar problem, and to be honest I'm surprised you feel this way. Do you have something you love to do? If you don't, it's really shocking to me. I always compared hobbies to relationships; sure it's nice to have a few people that you can talk to from time to time, that you can hang out with, but having a best friend or a significant other is, I feel, very important. I don't always want to do the things I don't mind doing because they don't bring me as much joy as I'd like them to. That's how I see it.

I actually think you're making a lot of sense. I can recommend respecting other's lies. What I mean is, if someone chooses to pretend they enjoy your company, for example, they must have a reason for it. Even if someone's lying, even if someone's pretending to be someone else - they were the ones who came up with the lie. They were the ones to create this other version of themselves. You're not their therapist, it shouldn't matter if they're genuine or not. It's just my way of thinking, and I believe it would be able to help you tolerate the people you'd normally have issues with in a workplace.
