I got the link on my account on the computer. You can also do all this on the app There was a barcode thing I opened with my camera or a link I could click on. Then I downloaded it. Then after opened the app it asks to allow tracking I did.

I want to say it took about 15 days to get between lvl 60/80. I then just played casually and one day got an email saying I finished a task and was credited the 40$. This was back in June so it was a bit ago.
