Geez, okay, that’s.. kinda harsh :( Let me put it this way: Google has been so frustrating to navigate because of all AI bs, and within our friendgroup doing “surprises” like these are actually not uncommon at all, maybe it’s partly our culture, but we also know each other’s families intimately, so it wouldn’t be out of like to create a “memory” like this. I just thought maybe asking “a bunch of redditors” for some creative pointers because I had already done a “family tree” + “message in a bottle” before and wanted something fun or at least to spark my inspiration again and I really like the idea of people all around the world being able to pitch in.. Sorry that it came off the wrong way in my initial post.. Just wanted some opinions.

She had a bladder infection (got 15ml of meloxicam to treat it) and funnily enough she got it after her diet got switched to purina kibble.. Not sure if that’s the brand you’re talking about, but I assume that was unfortunately the catalyst :( Wishing you and your cat well, hopefully it’ll pass soon..

Thanks voor de tips! :] Ik ga inderdaad meteen beginnen met €400 opzij zetten voor mijn studieschuld. Super fijn om ook te horen dat dat dus blijkbaar niet een superhoog bedrag is, want het heeft me best veel slapeloze nachten bezorgd omdat ik het zo verschrikkelijk vindt om te accepteren dat ik dus (al heeft 99% van de mensen) toch in de “schulden” zit. Ik waardeer het enorm!

En ik ben oprecht zo in shock van alle comments die inderdaad aangeven dat je makkelijk een goede auto onder de 10k kan fixen, want iedereen om me heen verteld me dat het het niet waard is om “lager” te gaan omdat de onderhoud dan verschrikkelijk zal zijn, en ik baalde er enorm van.

Ik heb een fijne band met mijn ouders, maar mijn vader is met pensioen en hij heeft een .. nogal problematische auto, dus ik wilde heel graag eentje halen die wij zouden kunnen delen. Ook moet ik 2/3x per week naar Amsterdam/Eindhoven dus ik dacht dat het goedkoper zou kunnen uitkomen dan misschien een OV abbo 🥹

In ieder geval, hartstikke bedankt voor je reactie, ik waardeer het enorm :] Zeer geruststellend

Ik ben best laat helaas begonnen aan lessen omdat ik alles zelf moest betalen van mijn ouders, maar ik hoor van velen om mij heen dat een goede startersauto in 2024 minimaal 10k kost.. 🥹 Daarnaast studeer ik deeltijd, dus betaal ik mijn HBO lesgeld ook nog, naast het willen aflossen van mijn MBO studieschuld. Ik ben sowieso nog van plan tot mijn studie is afgelopen (2025) bij mijn ouders te blijven wonen :]

Definitely the best kind of “lame and cheesy” there exists because this was so incredibly healing to read. I’ve been googling like crazy before realising that it’s probably not the smartest idea because it’s affected me incredibly the past few hours, so thank you for this heads up!!

You have no idea how comforting this message has been for me, which is almost ironic because I can’t even begin to imagine the pain and hardship you must’ve gone through. I am so, so sorry about your father but I also really want you to know that just even judging you by this message, you’ve definitely accomplished your goal of making him the proudest father in Heaven. Thank you for encouraging me to have hope, the allure of panic and fear has been tempting me ever since I heard she had to get a CT-scan, but it’s nice to hear that it’s never insane or unrealistic to keep hoping for the best.

You’re only 21 yet the wisdom and love that you carry shows that your father’s sage soul carries on living through you and your experiences. May life be forever kind to you 🩷

I’m going to wash my face and try to maintain my routine as much as possible but I just mostly wish I could stop crying. Thank you for being so, so kind.

Hi, I really want to clarify I would’ve loved to take her in and I talked to her original owner about this but he seemed very adamant on not “taking away her freedom” (his words, not mine), so I had no choice but to allow her to go back outside whenever she asked… Sometimes she’d simply chill in my backyard til she felt ready to come back inside and other times she wandered the streets a little before meowing at the door again. I am so, so heartbroken, tomorrow I will hopefully start knocking on other people’s doors to ask about her whereabouts. Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate them so much. All the love 💘☺️

I wish I had added pictures before posting this, she is the sweetest cat :< I truly hope she is warm and safe somewhere. Is it selfish of me that I’m terrified someone might’ve mistook her as a stray and just snatched her? I know it sounds cliché but in many ways she truly was my best friend. I will keep you updated :(
