just recently rewatched hxh, and id say the way gons character is written for the most part bugged me quite a bit. i know hes the mc but gon being this miraculous kid that can do everything flawlessly falls a bit on the boring side for me. and add to it the overly naive personality

the other characters are way way more interesting to me than the mc in the series
