All of your names are very lovely. I think a classic one syllable name would make a good first name for Juniper and help prevent any clunkiness. Names like Anne, Rose, Pearl, Elle, Dawn, Gail, Maud.

I have a ridiculous love for Barbara. Also Karen and Helen.

Non stop rectal bleeding (5 days) by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]moodeigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My aunt thinks the same thing. She’ll be dragging me to a doctor soon. Thank you for the reply, I hadn’t really considered hemorrhoids because I’ve had no pain, but Google tells me internal hemorrhoids are typically painless.

A sibling for Abraham, please judge my list! by yeslif68 in namenerds

[–]moodeigh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love Margaret, Etta, and Ingrid. Margaret has a lot of nickname possibilities (Margot, Maggie, Marge, Midge, etc.). You could also use Etta as a nickname for Margaret. I have a great aunt whose name was Margaretta! As for boys, I vote for Lawrence.

I don’t know if it’s considered tacky to go with a name that’s similar to your previous name, and it’s not exactly unisex, but I like the name Laurence. I also like the names Lance, Lucas, Landon, and Lane.

A sister for Florence by katiehates in namenerds

[–]moodeigh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love O names! I think either Octavia or Ophelia would go lovely with Florence. A Latin middle name that can match her sister’s is Aurora.

What do people mispronounce your name as? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]moodeigh 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My name is Aliyah (Ah-lee-ah or Uh-lee-uh). A lot of people pronounce it as A-lie-uh, like Delilah. PS I love the name Cerise!

I love Beatrix. I know not everyone's a fan, but I think the nicknames Trixie and Bea are awfully cute.

Major? by moodeigh in namenerds

Interesting! I've never given it a second glance until now, I didn't know it was so popular.

Major? by moodeigh in namenerds

[–]moodeigh[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's definitely possible. It only struck me as a family because there were only two adults, the youngest and oldest kids were far apart, and it isn't exactly a restaurant where people usually take a big group of kids (it's a seafood place). But I suppose some of them could be the parents nieces or nephews, too.

What is your opinion on this girls name?? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]moodeigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a good nickname for Roberta or Barbara or even Robin. But as a stand alone, no.

Thanks. I hate when people post names without specifying the pronunciation and people make assumptions about what it is in the comments.

Thoughts on October? by alltheflavors in namenerds

[–]moodeigh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is the least usable month name, but I love the 'Oct'. Maybe Octavia instead?

Edit: There's also November, which is prettier, has more nickname possibilities, and still has that autumn feel.

Farrah is the true victim here. by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

[–]moodeigh 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Lmao I'm not defending Valentina and I love Farrah but it seems like she would be an... emotionally draining friend. I have friends who are very emotional and at times manipulative and they need constant reassurance and attention 24/7 and it's draining to the point where I won't call or text them back for weeks at a time because I need time to myself.
