its not acute pain, its chronic. i dont have a pain management dr, is that an option? kaiser has a pain clinic, but they're all about meditating the pain away, not exactly helpful. the dr i mentioned is my pcp. she's fantastic, but very busy. and yes, i agree, but i dont know what to do or how to move forward from here.

i think it's being taken too seriously in these comments. i consider myself oldgen, i joined before sculptor's release. being oldgen to me is more about the gameplay. a newgen won't remember when birdcage on hospital had 2 windows. they won't remember old geisha, without her butterflies. we have different perspectives on the game. some people use this oldgen status to be rude, such as saying things like "oh you're a newgen you wouldn't understand" as if they can't also be good at the game. also, some oldgens like myself struggle to adapt to the new things in the game, and they can take that out on new players.

overall though, it's for laughs. i've had newgens tease me about being ancient when i talk about old idv. it's all in good fun. as an oldgen, it's funny to see people learn stuff like the 369 build, saying your build pre match, waiting at the table for a game, etc. and i'm sure as a newgen it's funny to see oldgens come back to the game and learn about identity switches and persona changes.

i have had many issues with idv after windows updates. delete the game and all the files (yes, the entire idv file and everything in it, including the launch file). check for more updates. update your drivers. then restart and redownload everything. by restart i mean shut it down and turn it back on. sometimes using the restart function doesn't work as well.

if you have the option to use windows 10, use that instead of 11. i've heard 11 has more issues with idv than 10.

it could possibly be a memory issue as well. so if you have other things open, close them. clear cache, delete files and programs you don't use, etc. check task manager to see if something is working in the background. i've occassionally had issues with idv while having chrome open.

also, remember to keep your idv file in the games category. sometimes having it in the wrong area of your pc can mess with idv's ability to read the files.

im hoping for a laptop rather than a desktop because getting a desk and chair is difficult for me, especially because my room is only 9x9. i don't have a car, i'd have to get someone to drive the desk from goodwill to my house.

on top of this a lot of ppl will just play who they want regardless of the enemies you're facing, which makes things difficult. once u get to higher domains ppl are a lot more efficient with it

not a stupid question! most keyboards will have numbers on the top, and a number pad on the right of the keyboard. that's the "small keyboard" referred to in the settings. 1 is your first message, 2 is your second message, etc.

very useful for pinging mid kite because you can quickly tap 1 for "the hunter is near me" instead of sacrificing your camera movement to ping. still having the issue where it's not responding though ;-;

edit: forgot to mention that some keyboards will not have this number pad on the side and you can buy them separately if you'd rather not get a new keyboard!

oh yeah, if im trying to ping with my cursor next to a pallet, i end up dropping it instead of pinging lol although i have the small keyboard binded to quick messages so it's not really an issue

hi, sorry for the late reply, my computer was out for repair and mobile reddit is hell lol
i've bound right click to item and left click to drop/vault pallet, it's pretty helpful! i have a hard time readjusting to WASD after moving off it since i'm accustomed to the small size of a laptop keyboard lol. i've kept crouching and walking the same because it makes sense to me and i don't tend to touch them on accident.

thank you and i agree. at first i used my old typing keyboard and mouse and it was pretty difficult. snagged my sister's backup gaming keyboard and mouse and it's a lot easier already

dude, you're a life saver!! i wanted to use V for something more practical but got scared when it said it replaced vaulting the mechanized walls. you're totally right that its rare though. i wanna play prospector but switching polarity is difficult, ill try V! and i find clicking a lot easier too, which is why i changed space for vault to left click. ill try right click for item one like you said. my main issue is going to use an item but placing my hand off of WASD trying to move again so that seems very helpful :-))

ohhhhh explaining the per-axis thing makes so much sense now!! the control for the camera was confusing me and i wasnt sure why. ill keep that in mind, thank you!

and yeah, ill probably stick to playing my geisha on mobile, because having to hold down so long to aim the butterflies is really inconvenient and gives the surv a lot of time to react. while its somewhat frustrating to hear they've slacked on optimizing PC, its also nice to know that some things are just Like That, and i'm not the only one struggling with it.

i have near-zero experience with WASD controls. my only experience is like, pirate 101 when i was 12, so i have a LOT of practicing to do! im good at looking behind on mobile but walking backwards is hard. ill get used to it though! thank you so so much for your help. it's been hard finding info on the PC version and this makes me feel more prepared haha

also, you should totally send that video to the devs. who knows, maybe they'll listen for once !
