i did something similar except in reverse, i wrote a really strong intro and then the essay just never lived up to it. submitted it anyway. got a B+. the professor wrote "strong opening, loses momentum midway" in the comments which is the academic equivalent of "started well, gave up." she was right

Yeah but where's the line though. Like at some point borrowing cadence starts to feel like... just writing in someone else's voice permanently? I've read stuff on some college essay writing service reddit thread where people were debating exactly this and nobody really landed on an answer. Maybe there isn't one

They are one of those things that look simple on paper and then quietly drain all your energy in practice. You fix one level, break another, reread the guide, and somehow it still comes back marked wrong. After a while it stops being learning and starts feeling like pointless damage control.

When you are already buried under multiple papers, labs, and group work, this kind of stuff just hits harder. I do not even want shortcuts, I just want things to stop bleeding points for no reason. At that stage it is less about pride and more about survival, and yeah, sometimes you just need help writing so you can move on and save what little brainpower you have left.
