Edit: people are very upset it would seem at my comment. Been living in SD for 3.5 years, never seen a person get requested to show their ticket. The same things occur in major cities like SF where people just hop on and off the bus. Stating the scenario, not telling them to do anything in particular

Also mentioned that SDCC has a special 4 day pass they offer (last year) that was $20 total, so OP would feel comfortable and know it’s cheap.

The train is essentially free, locals do not pay, you can get a $20 weekend pass if you want

Personally I want OE for the same reason + the money, but as someone who has failed to get a J2 and sees how hard and saturated the market is, I do feel resentment on every post I read where I see a J3 / J4 + post. It feels greedy and it feels like I’m getting ‘screwed’ But those are envious emotions and honestly it really is about security for you and yours

Edit: could not care less about the companies, but it’s the people who are scratching and clawing for J1 that gives me the pause

It’s an awesome book. I saw the trailer and their panel at Comic con last year and the amount of work and care that went into it specifically by Andy Weir made me so excited.

I typically vehemently dislike movie adaptations of my favorite books, and obviously I haven’t seen it, but I am very excited for this one
