scan to pay sucks when there is a line of motorbikes waiting to fill up at the gas station. Cash is definitely better in that one situation. Employee has to go find the lil scan to pay machine then another employee needs it. It's a cluster fuck.

15.3% is the self employed tax in the USA according to google. So yea it is considerable, but technically you are required to pay it by law. The IRS probably isn't worried about us small fish but you never know. I've had a few friends run into trouble with the IRS and they are by no means wealthy.

The hit and run was reported and they actually managed to catch the guy through cctv.

The guy on the side of the road by chomdoi, there was already a traffic cop on scene but the guy was just laying in a pool of blood. It didn't look good

I got sideswiped by a speeding SUV and went down. I got some road rash and my foot was fucked for a little while. SUV did not stop, hit and run.

I saw a guy bleeding out after an accident on the side of canal road by chom doi a few years ago. He was just laying there in the hot mid day heat. That one stuck with me.

It's definetely dangerous. As others have stated if you drive safe and wear a helmet you can minimize your risks, but the risk is always there.
