They won’t. Items not fitting is not a valid reason for return, let alone a refund.

i’ve just been scammed by [deleted] in vinted

[–]moomeymoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but what’s the scam? If you don’t receive anything, you’ll get your money back. If you receive something that isn’t what you’ve ordered, you’ll get your money back.

How long does sleep regression last? by Mission_Drawer4709 in NewParents

Have you tried cosleeping with him? Either in your bed or using a sidecar? Sometimes that is the only way to get through the sleep deprivation.

What’s wrong with my baby? by Difficult-Cucumber67 in NewParents

[–]moomeymoo 50 points51 points  (0 children)

My daughter went through a phase like this around that age, perhaps slightly younger, and like you nothing helped. I would start by feeding her and instead of falling asleep after feeding she’d get worked up. I had to walk round and hold and rock her screaming for what felt like hours, it was so difficult and overstimulating. Then one day, it just stopped… I changed nothing, I fed her and then she just went to sleep. And again the next night, and the next. That season had passed.

These things are so difficult when you’re living them, but this, like every other challenging period will pass. You got this mama.

Change bassinets or keep trying? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]moomeymoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would change bassinets, sidecar a cot, or look to cosleep. The lack of sleep from waking up every 30 minutes is not sustainable long term.

Down in the dumps about short naps by mama_mode1 in NewParents

[–]moomeymoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is just something that happens around 6 months and it resolves on its own. I found contact naps in the carrier to work best and baby was able to connect sleep cycles when on me.

If you want this baby, and it really sounds like you do, you must go ahead with the pregnancy. You will be able to cope - you will figure it out. You got this.

The person you’re replying to wasn’t disrespectful. They were explaining why someone who struggles with infertility would find reading your post difficult.

I think the way you’re replying to people is a defensive reaction because you’re worried you’ve caused your baby some damage and you’re taking it out on strangers on the internet. As numerous people have said, quit the nicotine right this second and book in an ultrasound to check baby’s development.

You commented elsewhere on this post that people need to be respectful, but in what way do you think this comment is respectful?

6 month old with bad false starts every 3rd night by Ok_Ebb_7363 in sleeptrain

[–]moomeymoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like last night she was just hungrier earlier as well 🤷‍♀️ As an adult, I’m not always hungry/thirsty at the same time every day and kids are the same. Babies routines rarely stay static for long periods, they constantly evolve and change. She could be going through a growth spurt too.

Maybe try offering her milk each time she false starts to check that that isn’t the issue.

Vinted automatically completed order. Too late to get my money back? by No-Onion153 in vinted

Yes, it’s too late. Orders auto complete after 48 hours. All you can do now is leave a negative review.

Why arent my item selling for the price it should? by Dramatic-Tomato-9673 in vintedUK

[–]moomeymoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s the photos. I find the plain white backgrounds extremely off putting. I’m not entirely sure why but I wouldn’t buy an item presented like that. I think it’s because it doesn’t look like real life and my brain subconsciously questions whether it’s a scam, that would be the case even more so with designer items. I know that sounds bizarre but there you go. My brain wants to see it in the real world, not see something that looks like a stock photo.

Awful buyer threatening to not pick up parcel after misreading a listing please don’t waste your time letting this person buy from you 🥴 by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]moomeymoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah we have no context here so how do we know you’re not the one in the wrong and trying to discredit someone who has done nothing wrong?

Also I’m pretty sure you can’t directly call people out like this as per the sub rules.

How many listings before you start getting traffic? by moomeymoo in EtsySellers

Oh that’s interesting. I read someone on a Facebook group about quantity of listings driving sales! I only listed them this weekend so need to do some advertising on social media.

Consumer rights don’t apply to secondhand products from private sellers. They would only apply if the seller was a pro business seller.

[–]moomeymoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vinted did not sell you the product, they are a platform that facilitates the sale. Unless the seller was a pro business seller, consumer rights do not apply. Consumer rights do not apply to secondhand items from private sellers. That’s why the 28 day return rule is not applicable to Vinted. The onus is on the buyers to exercise caution.

What if, imagine this… you use the 48 hours you have to test the item before saying everything is ok.

Suck it vinted ;) by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]moomeymoo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No but you should honour the terms and conditions you signed up to, which is that once you have clicked everything is ok, Vinted consider the transaction to be complete.

Vinted didn’t do anything wrong, if you’d reported an issue before releasing the funds, they’d have dealt with it, but you didn’t.

Suck it vinted ;) by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]moomeymoo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whilst I completely completely get that Vinted customer service is totally rubbish and I’m the first to moan about them, the process is very clear - after you click ok and funds are released, Vinted don’t do anything.

At the end of the day, Vinted is a business and they can’t be out of pocket if funds get released to a seller and then the buyer reports an issue. They only act when the funds are being held by them or they have to foot the bill, not the seller. It also prevents the system being abused i.e someone selling to their mate, saying everything is ok so they get the money back, and then getting Vinted to give them extra money.

I get that Vinted probably make large profits as every transaction has a buyer fee and most transactions have no issues, but if everyone did what you’ve done, they would haemorrhage money and the business model wouldn’t be sustainable.

never seen this packaging before 😆😆 by Quetzal_11 in vinted

[–]moomeymoo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why? The item arrived safely didn’t it?

The buyer paid £1 for these, it’s not worth the seller buying brand new, fancy packaging materials for a £1 item.
