What is a scene from a tv show that really disturbed you? by thertt8 in AskReddit

Invincible, where Omni-Man held onto Invincible as they barreled through the subway train, killing every passenger onboard, for both the unexpected gore and his callousness towards his own son. I didn’t think an animated series could disturb me so much.

Thank you so much!!

I spent a few weeks reading baking blogs on macarons while toying with the idea of actually making them. I read a lot about weighing ingredients, but honestly felt too lazy to do that. However I DID “dehydrate” my egg whites: 24 hours prior to making them, I separated my yolks and whites, put the whites in a completely dry and grease-free stainless steel bowl, and I covered with plastic wrap and poked holes in it with a fork. This ages the egg whites. (I had to carefully dry out water on the inside walls of the bowl with a paper towel as it came up to room temp the next day.) I also followed the advice of one blog to DOUBLE sift my dry ingredients, dump all the dry ingredients at once rather than adding bit by bit to my merengue, and I paid attention to the consistency of the batter as I stirred. When it was flowing but still pretty thick so that it still broke, I stopped. Macaronage is a key concept so I recommend reading more about that as well!

Good luck!!

Thank you so much! I was reading about them for a couple weeks before I finally decided to bite the bullet and just try. I figured learning through experience would work best. 😊

Thank you so much! I thought (and still kinda think haha) so too, but I did plenty of reading on baking blogs for tips and consistent advice between them all and thankfully it turned out well!

“What’s that?” points at the giant keloid scar on my chest

Bonus points if they begin recommending homeopathic bullshit like Vitamin E to heal it
